Why do non believers think it is their duty in life to email christians and put their religion down. I dont email non believers and try to convert them, you believe what you like, but you in the end will stand alone to defend your potion, trust me I wont be there.
Question : why do you have to spew your anti-God venom at innocent targets, like myself

That was me she replied to that initiated this question. Since she has blocked her mail, that means she can mail someone else and that person has no recourse to reply. How mature and rational (chortle).

I was not coarse or abrasive in my message to her. The message was in response to a thread about paganism and Christian holidays. I made no accusations: for instance "Do you put up a Christmas tree? That's pagan." I even asked you to point me to a biblical reference that supports the use of the traditions I characterized as pagan just in case I was wrong. You declined to do so, instead accusing me of being abrasive. I guess that's another way of saying, "No, I can't provide that but I'm surely not going to tell you that and support your position."

I didnt' "spew." How about you post the unedited message and let others decide? I won't go so far as to say you are over-reacting in order to feel victimized, but honestly all I did was ask questions about how you celebrate Christmas and point out how those traditions derive from pagan traditions.

The message was not anti-God at all, but rather anti-Man's twisting of God's message.

As to this message: if you're going to get on here and post threads AND send private messages pushing your own form of belief than you have to be willing to accept the same in return. It's called intellectual honesty. Then again, I've found vanishingly few "christians" who are capable of this.

Go ahead, get mad. Bite a steel bar in two if you like, makes no difference to me.

Innocent? I think not! I think this is just a case of what goes around, comes around!
Recently you felt it necessary to make some rude statement about LDS, and their ',magic underwear''!
Garments that they receive after a Sacred ceremony in the Temples! It doesn't matter what other people think, these article of clothing are Holy to them, and not for outsiders to discuss, and certainly not to make fun of!
Only sick people do that!
You thought it would be fun to be a smart@ss, and make rude comment about them, trying to be funny! Well, little girl, you failed!
You do not have the right to do something that ignorant! And when you got this email, you just got a taste of your own medicine! Didn't taste to good, did it?
I feel little sympathy for you, as I think you got what you deserve! This time baby, the shoe is on the other foot!

Actually, it is the other way around. The Christians try and convert the Non-Christians vs. the other way around. I try and avoid religious weirdos so the last thing I would do is draw attention to myself by emailing them or other types of communication. But the Christians don't hesitate to email me or leave flyers on my car on how I can be saved. I don't put your religion down - I totally respect it. But to accuse me and others of having a duty in life to piss Christians off is simply ridiculous. We simply want to be left alone in our own ideas of about what God is, or isn't. Please respect that and I will respect a question like this as simple lack of knowledge or life inexperience of what really goes on.

I have noticed that there is a large majority of people who have reduced God down to the level of Zeus or other mythical "gods". It seems that society is slowly gravitating to a world without any God.

In another 100 years or so, I think Christians will be reduced to small groups of fanatics (some people think they are already). I'm grateful I won't live to see it.

There is no purpose in life without God except to repeatedly stimulate one's pleasure centers. Without God we might as well descend into anarchy.

Welcome to the world of tit-for-tat....... One does unto another so that one does it unto all !!!! I do NOT e-mail unless they e-mail me first, and Praise God, I have only gotten 1 negative e-mail....... do NOT let anyone on here bother you, this is a forum for thoughts and opinions, from every side.... just use your delete button on those e-mails..... We Christians get accused of a lot of things, and 1/2 the time it is trolls doing the finger pointing..... they love to come in here and get us ALL fired up..... and the fingers start to point..... they did, we did, we all did....... big deal....... this is cyber space..... faceless people with opinions and thoughts...... I state my case and thoughts...... and move on.... I can NOT control that some put God/Jesus down, but I KNOW God cares, and He is the one who will deal with it....... and will deal with me if I get out of line..... go in peace..... keep the faith...... God bless

well, i keep my email turned off on this site because i don't want my mailbox spammed by proselytizing Christians and other assorted wackadoos.

unsolicited (and sometimes insulting) emails are just something you're gonna have to put up with as long as you make your email addy available to every stranger who has web access.

Why do Xians think it is their duty to send vile emails to atheists? That's why my email is turned off. I'd post you a sample, but it would be deleted in minutes.

PS I have never initiated an email exchange with any Xian on Y!A.

ADDENDUM

It appears that two Xian flamers are upset with not being able to email me.

I don't think you can stereotype people like you're doing just cause you get some nasty emails from some flakes.

I do find it odd that some people who have no belief want others to share their beliefs of nothing.

Why do you have to stereotype? Why do you have to spit your venom at me in this question? Why are you so angry? Maybe the person who emailed you is an a** don't label all of us by the actions of one. I don't do that to Christians when they post questions like these.

And then they post questions asking Why christians hate them and spew nasty things.

They are in TOTALY denial that they are religious, evangelistic and take candy from babies because they don't believe in Santa.
