The message of Jesus is that He is Hope in human form. Hope is at the root of all optimism.

For us, Thats the best Optimism of all.

If He wasn't an optimist, we would not celebrate Christmas. He did come here, after all. Oh, and that whole resurrection deal. He came, taught, sacrificed Himself, died, and then......He came back. Sounds pretty optimistic to me.

I'd say He was a realist. You see, what you see as 'possible' or 'impossible', He sees as His reality.
