The wrap idea is a great one. I'd go with that. So many dresses these days are sleeveless. I hate that. Just be sure to spend an evening or two wearing your wrap around the house to get used to it so you don't fidget with it through the ceremony. You also might find a seamstress, and have her attach chiffon sleeves.
Try www.plussizebridal.com. I did a search for plus size dress and plus size wedding dress and turned up loads of other options too.
Good luck. Hope you find something that makes you feel beautiful. : )

Run a google search for "modest bridesmaid dress" You'll see many sites that say they're for Latter Day Saints, but don't worry--the LDS church frowns on showing bare shoulders, and most of the companies that make dresses for Mormons have sleeves. The ones I've liked in the past are
www.beautifullymodest.com
www.totallymodest.com
www.ldsprom.com (they also have bridal and bridesmaids)
Hope these sites help you out some.

Try looking up plus size bridesmaids dresses into a search engine, and see what happens. I know igigi.com has a few bridal party dresses, as well as shrugs and wraps, I just don't know if any of the colours match what your sister has.

what about a dress with sheer sleeves? that way you have the sleeve so you will feel more comfortable n confident! thats how i got around things when i stood up for a girlfriend.
my dress was light pink, scoop neckline with an empire waist. the other girl wore a sleeveless dress and i had sheer sleeves on mine. it worked perfectly.
good luck with the diet - i hope you will come back and let us know how you do - and how you did it! i struggle daily with my weight.

I would get a sleeveless or strapless dress and use a wrap. Alot easier to find. I have the same problem, dept stores have nice ranges of sheer or solid wraps that can match almost any dress.

it may be useful in case you're able to share extra advantageous information approximately if the marriage is going to be formal, semi-formal, casual? And...additionally your age. be careful a pair of "fairly sexy gown". you are the maid of honor and the final ingredient you're able to do is upstage your mom at her wedding ceremony.

most dresses seem to be sleeveless.. these days .. (i also dont' want to be showing my arms)
but you can always by one of those sash things.. so your shoulders are kinda exposed but it can cover your arms .. :)
thats what i plan on doing
