The idea that Jesus never mentioned homosexuality is misleading. The gospels themselves expressly admit that they do no record EVERYTHING that Jesus said. So we do not know if he did or not.
Besides, you seem to assume that the Gospels are more authoritative, or more truthful, than the rest of the Bible. There is no logical reason to assume that one part of the Bible is any less or more truthful than any other part. You have to take it as a whole, not just in bits and pieces.
Last of all, the gospels actually DO say that Jesus set heterosexuality as a standard. In Matthew chapter 19 and in Mark chapter 10, Jesus said that in the beginning, God made them male and female For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate. Anyone who could not handle heterosexual marriage was advised by Jesus to be celibate (literally, a eunuch).
This is the reason that God does not like homosexuality. He made men and women for each other. Gender is not an accident of evolution. God made male and female on purpose. Homosexuality undermines God's plan for humanity, and it is therefore wrong.
God bless!

Jesus disciples were all men---he had women followers though, some very close to Him. St Paul never contradicted Jesus teachings and women of his time were expected to be silent in church matters and allow men to lead the church....it was a very male dominated society---all the prophets were men, man was created first by God and woman was created out of his rib to be a helpmate and partner. There have been many strong, faithful women figures in the Bible and it should not discourage women from other duties or pursuits in the church as well as witnessing to others of their faith..
God loves all his children and knows what's best for them...he made man and woman to be joined in marriage, bear and raise children and become "one flesh" ---he established marriage between man and woman for this purpose. Mankind could not replenish or "fill up" the earth without this basic reproductive and family system. He condemns homosexuality and other forms of sexual wickedness, lust and immorality because it's not what he considers "holy" and right. If you are being sinful, wicked and living contrary to God's will, he will punish you because he also demands holiness and purity. He loved the world enough to sacrifice his innocent son, Jesus, to pay for all of our sins. How much do we love him if we do not try to live a life that is pleasing to Him?

Don't think God said anything about being against gay people. There are I think two references in the Bible about a man laying with his own kind, however, God does not condemn the man, it is the action and behavior that was being spoken of. And most likely because the behavior can and does cause some problems in society for the people involved and the health of those involved. But God does love all his children.

He duznt hate the gays, He's just very dissapointed in them.
remember; God created Adam & Eve, NOT Adam & Steve. the Bible even says somewhere that gayness is perversion. BUT, it also says that "straight" ppl shouldnt condemn them bcuz being gay is just 1 sin along so many in this world.
the reason its wrong is becuz d.s wernt made 4 each other & neither were v.s (if ya get what i mean). He made them so that it could work naturally-d. vs. v. notice that God gave a v. to the females & a d. to the males? also notice that they go perfectly well together, but trying 2 put v.s 2gether or d.s 2gether just doesnt work? oral sex is also not natural. God gave us the d vs. v way. man made up the oral sex thing bcuz d.s just cant insert into each other like d. vs. v. GOD MADE WOMAN 4 MAN NOT MAN 4 MAN, or else there woulda been a "Steve" instead. God has a reason 4 everything.
also notice that He took a rib from the man 2 make a WOMAN, NOT another man. if gay was right, He wouldnt made that in the 1st place.(or les.)

God is not against the gay people, God is against the sin they commit. Repent and sin no more for God is Holy, Holy, Holy!
I can see why Paul said that, haven't you ever listened to some woman ramble on and on and on and on in church, about nothing? I have. The bible lays it out clearly as to how a community service should be held and for good reason. The female disciples of Jesus knew their role.
Oh and by the way, I am not homophobic (I do have friends that are gay), I have no fear of gays at all.

You said - 'the Bible said God is love.'
Correct , but it doesn't say that God tolerates the activities of people that wish to live in ways that he doesn't approve of. (ime talking about people as a whole, not singling out gays)
In fact love for his creation means that he must act to remove all those that fail to achieve a minimum standard of conduct.
The Bible gives us the correct view of what God says is right and wrong on many things.
If a person want to go against that , then thats OK , that is their right as an individual with free will.
But they should not be under any false impressions. People that do not live in harmony with the creators will and requirements will pay the price for their actions.

God has created, is running, and will destroy the Universe. God is the Origin and Destination of the Universe. God was, is, will be everywhere, God was never Created and will never die / be destroyed. God is beyond Life and Death. All religions of world teach human way to get close to God. You give your Best, God will give thy Best. Ask God for help and forgive, God will help and forgive you. Pray; Worship and Thank God for everything. Remember wherever there is Happiness in Life, there will be Sorrow. To get Happiness, you must master Sorrow. For Success in Life; Believe in Self and God, Learn from Past, Concentrate in Present, Plan for Future. Have control on, be the master of, not the slave of your body, senses, and mind. Purpose of this Life is to Gain and Share utmost Knowledge and Experience to differentiate and choose Right, Good, God against Wrong, Bad, Devil. Set your Desire level perfect or OK to be brave, no low to be coward, no high to be cruel. You have rights of Survival, Self Defence, and Freedom.

So are you arguing against the Bible as a whole, or are you trying to find out if God approves of that lifestyle? Because a practicing homosexual lifestyle is (according to the Bible) definitely sinful. If you want to dismiss what is said about it in the Bible, that is up to you.

God is displeased with any sinner who will not admit he is a sinner, whether a thief, liar, gossip, adulterer, murderer, etc. According to the Bible, a gay lifestyle is a sin. The temptation is not the sin. To practice and promote the lifestyle is a very unloving thing to do when you consider the health consequences alone.

It doesn't matter if you are Gay or not. My Bible shows me Jesus saying :
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. (John 3)
So you believe and you are saved. What anyone else says about that which does not agree with what Jesus said is talking pure crap, not the Gospel.
