Drew matey, everyone is different, so very, very, different!!!
Some kids are born with their parents telling them what to do and how to do it.
Some grow up regardless of what their folks think, they know what they are going to do.
Some people are ugly, or just don't make the grade, as hard as they try, and others, are born into dysfunctional families, such as myself and I think you are too.
Which doesn't stop us from having the brains etc for anything we could have or would have wanted to.
(can't now due to back injury- though I am not paralyzed).
The toughest part comes in here mate, when alot of people get excited about a dream or a new skill, great new paying job... or whatever....
...But the consistancy just isn't there.
I learned very quickly that if I didn't like it for some reason or not, get out of it like the plague, or it will only make you miserable, unless you can see it as a stepping stone to a better job - place...whatever.
What you have to do darl is take - 5 -.
Realise the talents within you or regardles of whether you could be a tight rope walker, if you don't find an interest in it, than that's so not for you.
So RollupDrew, this is THE answer, it is to find a PASSION in what you would like to do or want to do and work toward that.
You may not know yet what it is. But grab a careers book from somewhere and circle, the things you think you may enjoy doing.
Then a few days or a week or so later highlight the ones you have grown to think about more ... etc until you realise your dream - well vocation that would not jack you off after 3 months but instead you would be getting up out of bed in the mornings and looking forward to what today might bring!
Pray about it too, as He knows all, you just have to ask!*

college is tough and i've felt the same way as you before. when i first started college i hated it and i even felt like dropping out. i think these feelings were coming from me just being lazy. it takes a lot of work and dedication to actually stick through all those years and going to classes you have absolutely no interest in, especially when you're taking your GE requirements. but i think in the end it's all worth it cause it's ultimately going to get you what you want out of life. just stick through it, it's gonna be difficult but if it's in some way getting you closer to your dream of whatever you want to become then stick with it. if the career your aiming for requires a college degree then deff. stay in colege but if it doesn't then go out and explore your option, do research. good luck with whatever you do :)

Who else is going to know but you? People go to school for 12 years to become a Doctor. Do you think they enjoyed it and it was a walk in the park? You are talking the talk again. You are just being lazy because that's what you've been doing. He is another chance. Go force your self to exercise and study hard before you turn 25 then 30 then you turn ugly and then old.

You have ALOT of work to do with your life if you are to find your true purpose. Foremost you have to overcome having been spoiled by your parents. They did no good for you by making you lazy and immature, but they probably were just misguided. You are an adult now and need to IMMEDIATELY cut off any financial support from them and go it on your own. This will lead you into more deprivation, but at the same time will connect you to your real purpose. Good luck.

Do you suffer from depression or anxiety? I do, and I get the same way. I get really pumped up about something, then I start getting all these negative, defeating thoughts. Think about that, and if you think you may, do some research on the illnesses to see if you feel you need to speak to someone.

You need to do some soul-searching and find something that you really want to do. You also have to realize that to get somewhere, you might have to do things you don't "want" to, but need to. If you believe in what you're majoring in, and you know you'll be happy doing that, then you just need to focus and do what you need to do to achieve that goal. You're not going to get anything easy, trust me... whatever you decide is going to take work.

This may sound harsh, but the more you quit something you started, the easier it gets to quit things and the harder it gets to keep with them. Set short-term, managable goals for yourself and just stick with them until they are finished. The more you succeed, the better you will feel about the decision.
Hope that helps!

I think you should give it a little more time to see how you feel. If you still fill that way after a few more weeks you should probably try something different.
