I´m sure it will go away eventually, don´t worry. If you feel like crying do so. Now, the best thing to do when you´re in shock is try to breath deeply. With your stomach, inflate it and deflate it as it was a balloon. If you can, lie on your back, put your hands on your stomach and start breathing. You´ll see no difference at first, but keep on breathing, I will assure you´ll calm down.
A hot cup of chamomille tea could help you calm down as well.
You should go see a doctor even if you feel fine, some injuries (specially neck and back) don´t show immediately after a car crash.
Don´t worry, you´re both alive and I´m sure you´ll be just fine.

You need to go to the hospital and get checked for internal injuries. Your parent's will be a lot happier knowing you are okay than if something medical happens to you later and you hid it because of a fender bender. Plus, won't the people you hit be filing a police or insurance claim? Isn't the insurance under your parent's name? So they will know anyway. Also, won't they see the damage? If you want to be bad about, milk the pain (which you are really in) and go to the hospital. They will forget about the stupid monetary stuff and just be worried about you two. Did anyone in the other car get hurt? Did you talk to them or drive away?

i probably would feel the same way as you. a car accident is an extremely scary situation to go through.my best advice is just to talk with your sister. keep thinking how lucky you 2 are for being alive and well. there are cases when people get into an accident, a person dies, and the others feel responsible for it. of course it isnt easy, but time will heal. just keep telling yourself how lucky you are and how lucky your sister is to still be alive. thankfully both of you didnt have to end up in the hospital. im sure your parents, friends and other family members are grateful that you 2 are okay though they have to deal with the costs of the accidents.
its okay to be scared..theres nothing wrong about being scared and to cry because everything happened so suddenly, but dont keep it inside you. its probably best to talk to ur sister because she was there with you and experiences similar feelings as you, but open up to a friend, parent or anyone your close with for comfort. what you need right know is comfort and a reminder to know that youre safe now. remember, be grateful that you and your sister are alive and well. best of luck to both of you!

I was in a car accident w/o airbags and had bad chest pain. It turned out that it was a bruised sternum and luckily I went to the hospital the next day because my sternum started having spasms which made me lose my breath every few minutes. Go to the Dr ASAP. Good luck.

This is very normal. Talk to a friend instead. You will feel shaken for somewhere between about three and ten days, and slowly, life will return to normal. Instead of thinking about how close you were to death, think instead about how fortunate you are to be alive. Sit tight and don't worry. You cannot help your sister's brain, only your own. Take care of yourself, then take care of sis.

If you are having chest pain then get yourself to the hospital! This is nothing to fool around with, you could be seriously hurt.

what you are experiencing is called SHOCK. Have you reported this to police? They should arrange for ambulance to take you to hospital to check that there are no internal injuries. Also, report it immediately to your insurance company. Failure to do so could jeopardize your claim for repairs.
