You should be proud of your mom going to college. Maybe she can still learn and perhaps teach you things like how to spell hassle. Duh!

I started college when I was 40 and became a registered nurse at 46. I'm now 50 and love my career. My kids are very proud of me and my accomplishment as you should be about your mom's efforts. I have a friend who's mom went to college when she turned 50 and she became a nurse. She's now 69 and still working. You should be supportive and proud of your mom. You're NEVER too old to learn.

Education is never a waste of time or money. It is an investment that could earn you better pay. It can, also, earn you more respect. Sometimes a degree can mean a career, not just another job.

Good for her! She'll feel great about herself for finishing and I've known quite a few women who've had to put off their education until their older because of money or children.

Didn't you hear about the 90 something year old lady taking college classes because she loves to learn? Refer to CNN.com. It should still be in their video section.

check your spelling and tell me. but if your mom wants to go she's just wanting to expand her knowledge(book-wise) we all learn things every day. read through the answers and see all the simplest of words misspelled. instead of worrying about her take care of yourself learn all you can so you won't have to go to college when you are 48. maybe she was raising you and couldn't go at your age. think about it.
which is correct - hassle or hasile or hastle?????

Further education is never a waste of time. I know several people who are in their seventies and eighties who are going to college, it is wonderful.

Be supportive of your Mom, she should be commended for working hard to better her life.

Totally not a waste of time at all. Age has nothing to do with bettering once self educationally. Good for her!

Education is never a waste of time. Good for her. (And why do you care? It's her life; her life doesn't revolve around you, despite what you may think.)

It is never to late to take advantage of your life! I bet your mom tries really hard to support you in things you do, try doing the same for her...

You start getting old when you stop learning. Good for her. Support her decision.
