I believe that they both have the same power. The only difference is in the body. The Sport Trac may have a slight advantage on the weight.
All in all, I would say that they would be very close. The biggest difference would be in the rear end ratio. If one had the 3.73 or the 3.55. the 3.73 would accelerate faster.

a sport trac IS an explorer, which is why they are called an explorer sport trac.
same stuff, different rear.
sport trac is slightly better handling due to less weight, other than that, no diff.

i'm not sure on engine specs if they have the same engine but the sport trac will be lighter
