Can someone explain these terms/beliefs to me? As in "what does someone who is agnostic believe"?

I would appreciate honest answers. I am not mocking/judging, etc. I only wish to learn more about other faiths.
Thanks.

An atheist is someone who does not believe in any form of deity at all. He is a strict materialist: this world is all there is.

A theist believes in a single god that had a part in the making of this world. Almost every religion in the world is a theist-based religion.

An agnostic is a person who believes that no one will ever know tf there is a god or not, so there's no use guessing. Agnostic comes from the Greeks words "Ginosko" (to know) and a (prefix meaning "not")

A pagan is a term coined for polytheist. A polytheist believes that there are many deities instead of just one, and that they all contributed to the world, etc. Much of what is considered to be modern-day mythology comprises former pagan religions.

Hope this helped.

Atheists don't believe in any god. Theists believe in a god. They can follow any religion. Agnostics say they don't know either way. Pagans are diverse. Some are nature worshippers and some follow other gods, or even more than one god or sometimes spirit guides.

An atheist lacks beliefs in god(s). A theist believes in the existence of god(s). An agnostic is someone who asserts that it is impossible to know whether god(s) exist(s) and sometimes agnostics also feel that either they or humanity in general will never be able to know.

agnostics: could be a god, could not be a god. They don't care
Theist: everyone but atheist
pagan: those who follow more then one god, generally referring to those of us who follow the "old ways". Heathens, Hellenistics, Celtic Recons, Wiccans, Kemetics, Eclecitics etc
atheist: with out religion. No gods, no devils, no nothing. Cool people.
Satanist: atheist who follow a set of self worship beliefs. Also cool people. Then again the two of them on here think pagans are hot so I'm biased. lol

You'll catch on REAL fast if you stick around.

Atheist - does not believe in God or a god.
Theist - Believes in God, or a god
Agnostic - doubts the existence of God or a god.
Pagan - depends on who you're talking to. the Bible says that these are people who live only for themselves, and don't live for God who created them. pagans today define themselves as people who worship the "old gods," of norse, celtic, egyptian, you-name-it ancient religions.

I'm an atheist but I prefer the word humanist. Describes mor what I am that what I am not. Humanism is a philosophy of life inspired by humanity and guided by reason. It provides the basis for a fulfilling and ethical life without religion.

Humanists make sense of the world using reason, experience and shared human values.
Humanists see no convincing evidence for gods, the supernatural, or life after death.
Humanists believe that moral values are properly founded on human empathy and scientific understanding.
Humanists believe we must live this life on the basis that it is the only life we'll have -- that, therefore, we must make the most of it for ourselves, each other, and our world.
Humanist philosophies have arisen separately in many different cultures over many thousands of years. Whether or not they use the term humanism, tens of millions of Americans and hundreds of millions of people around the world agree with the humanist philosophy of living a happy and productive life based on reason and compassion.

To deny the existence of God is a proposition not an argument. An argument is a group of statements that claim to follow logically from one to the next. Unless someone more logically astute that I can convince me, the argument for knowledge that there is no God, is not a valid. An argument that there is no God claims knowledge that is denied to the (mono)theist. If one can *know* that there is no God he must also concede that one can know that God *is.* If both propositions are valid they constitute a contradiction. One is untrue.
