I've self-diagnosed myself with Anorexia Nervosa. Why? I skip breakfast and lunch, and then after school I try to prevent myself from getting home as long as I can so I won't be around food within my reach. When I have no choice, I go home and drink a 220 calorie drink that delays hunger for up to four hours. I then stay up in my room and do all that I can do prevent me from leaving to go into the kitchen.

I think I'm fat, though I know I can't be with my pant size. (28x30 s don't fit without belts. I'm a guy for the record.)

I don't want to start eating again because I feel different this way. I'm trying so desperately to not let my life be controlled by hunger and having the need to eat to go on.

I just don't want to eat, but I'll gladly get nutrients somehow else.

What can I do?

Having been there, I can honestly tell you that if you continue this behavior that in 20 years, you will find yourself with a history of intestinal, bone, dental, and many other medical problems that never resolve.

Food is not a controller, but your "addictive" thoughts are. There is nothing wrong with thinking about food and eating.

Have you tried like ensure. They have tons of nutrients. I also think that you should go see a therapist and nutritionist. A nutritionist will be very helpful showing you how to get nutrients. I knows its tough, but the sooner you get help the better.

Good for you for realizing it!!! It took me a long time to get to that point. Take to a close friend or guidance counselor, you really need to eat especially at your age. It's hard, but it's nice to have someone with you for support.
If you arent ready yet make sure you take multi vitamins, and try slim fast, or something like it for you drink since its loaded with vitamins. Good Luck!!!

you need to see a doc----to eat is a normal thing. NOT to overeat or under eat.
by not feeding your body you are destroying it. it will "draw' from itself , what you are not giving it.
please speak to a doc soon, or at least a counselor.
it is the idea "I am fat" and being unable to "see" yourself as what you are.THAT is the tip off for the disease, anorexa.
it can be cured. but you are going to need help.
please call asap!!!! take care......

You should tell your mom or a trusted adult who can help you get the help you need. I assume you're in high school?? If you mean college, then go to your school's student health clinic and they can help you. You need to see a therapist most likely to get to the bottom of what's going on.

I'm very frustrated by the fact that you are avoiding food and are expecting us to help you and enable you on your road to certain death. See a therapist and get help before it kills you. See below sites for more info.

You have most likely correctly diagnosed yourself. SEEK HELP IMMEDIATELY. Anorexics often get cardiac arrhythmia due to lack of proper balance of electrolytes which can cause your heart to stop. You have to get back to normal.
