You know, strangely enough I was just wondering the same thing a few days ago.
I mean, you hear about all those school shootings and wonder how they managed to get a weapon inside right?
Probably with their backpacks.
My highschool allows the carrying of backpacks or tote bags from class to class, but I wonder if whether or not that is a wise decision.
I believe school's should have random checkings of students so as to raise the safety bar.
But that's simply my opinion.

Just as a basis for poor English, it makes a fitting punishment. Where doesn't equal wear.
The back packs are a nuisance in the classroom, as well as a means of concealing stuff that the kids shouldn't have to begin with. Used improperly, they could also be a weapon. Do things the old way, carry your books at your side, under your arm.

in schools students should be aloud to wear there backpacks.
Especially at the high school level (not sure what grade your in)because they're are more books you need, plus supplies. going to your locker between every class to switch out books and then go to class can be problematic if your next class is on the opposite side of the school

p.s.
kerry k that can be difficult if u have a lot of books. I don't know about other schools but i know that if everyone carried books on their side, then a lot of peoples would end up on the floor because people like to push them out of others hands

Wow- I've never heard of that before. . . and I'm not THAT far out of high school! I can imagine that it would be a pain to carry all your books/pens/binders without a backpack. I think you should be allowed to!

uhh, if you only have like ten minutes between classes, quite frankly i think that there's no reason to carry a backpack around for ten minutes only to put it away. if your on a campus, it doesn't matter eiter way, you're still carrying the same amount of weight.

Schools are ******* retarded. If they're so worried about weapons, then install ************* metal detectors. I'd like to see teachers walk around with all their things without their bags.

Ask your school why they have that policy. Then you can determine if it is a good policy.
