you like your skin right ? you don't want it to break out more, correct ? then don't try proactiv ! depending on what your skin is sensitive, it could really destroy your skin. i started around june and only now am i finally rid of the nasty cysts and pain proactiv gave me . im awaiting a money return in the mail.

although i know that's not very helpful for your question, i saw proactiv recommended and had to say something.

how's this - go to drugstore.com and search acne body wash and see what products there are and what people think of them. great website. also, acne.org may have some in their Products section.

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.

In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.

Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.

In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.

If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

I had that for years! get some soap called tar soap and start eating vegetables because you do not eat enough fruit and vegetables. your body is acid and you need alkaline foods like barley grass, alphalpha, and wheat grass. you may be injuring your kidneys with a bad diet. your skin is a large organ and it shows you when your body is not able to keep a healthy balance. get a good tar soap or some green tea soap and use a scrub. you can just add salt or sugar to your soap and it will make a good scrub to exfoliate the skin. lemon glycerine soap could help you too. proactive is good stuff and you can use it on your body. diet is the b est choice though because you will start to have other health problems like not sleeping well and anxiety, read a sight on line called dr. young's miricle. I have been a nurse for 23 years and acidic body is a environment suitable for cancer in many people. you think I am a nut now but I have a registered liscense and any physician will not disagree to what I am saying.

Proactiv available at Wal-mart does a great job.

Ancient Chinese remedy: Sit down, get comfortable in front of the TV, and take off any metal jewelry (it blocks energy). Take your left palm and lay it on your right calf. Take your right palm and lay in on your left calf. Relax. Support your arms with pillows if they get tired. Stay like that for at least 30 min. Do that once or twice a day. You should see drastic results in 2-3 days. My son's acne face was a baby's butt over the weekend.

I would reccomend Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash or Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub. Both work well! You can find them with the rest of the acne products at your local drug store, target, walmart or grocery. Here is a link to the product online:

You could try St. Ives Apricot Scrub. It gently exfoliates your skin without scratching too much. Get the oil-free type or the invorograting kind both choices are good. You can use them on your face too!
