Plain basmati rice is my favorite. It digests easily and has a wonderful light aroma. I also like sprite (regular) and bullion cube in hot water. If you're throwing up, be sure to have lots of liquid with your toast or it will choke you on the way back up. How about Popsicles?

Stay away from dairy products as they tend to create more mucus and don't digest well when you have the flu. Now is the time for that chicken soup recipe. The protein from the chicken and carbs and vitamins in the veggies are just what you need to keep up your energy reserves and build your immune system. Koolaid is ok, but dilute it, as too much sugar may make you nauseous. Gatorade is good too, but it should also be diluted 50/50 with water. Water is your best bet. Eggs are usually pretty gentle on the stomach as long as you dont' have allergies. Sorry you're feeling bad. Hope you get better soon.

Well, while you are sick I would say drink ginger ale. When you feel like eating again, take it slowly with dry toast, banana, applesauce. Some people will drink hot tea but I don't like the caffeine.

Nothing but sips of water for about 24 hours. Then something simple like toast to see if you can tolerate food yet.
