Speaking in tongues, visions, prophecy, revelation from God, Healing from God, etc.?
If you answered "No" then why don't you believe in something your savior, Jesus Christ, believed in?

Verses? Ok...
1 Corinthians 14 the entire chapter talks about talking in tongues, having revelation and prophecies and the sort.
Jesus healed many people, the paralytic, the blind man, the sick child, etc...
Jesus obviously was the messiah of the God of Abraham, Moses, Noah, etc. who all had revelation from God and prophecied of things to come...
Genesis 46:1-4 is talking about Jacob having a vision of God...
What else did I mention? was that everything?

If it's anything other than "none" then you're wrong. I wasn't born into a church.

Up until Christ rose from the dead and the 12 apostles died, there was direct conversation between God and man. After Christ died, and the Bible was essentially completed, there was no more need for prophecy, for the Bible was the complete, infallible word of God. Why have prophecies when you have it all written down? And besides that, tongues weren't some divine language, they were FOREIGN LANGUAGES that the apostles were gicing the ability to speak so that they could preach to thousands. Obviously there's no need for that now.
Also, there's the issue of faith healers. I, personally, believe that God does heal people. But I don't believe that he gives healing power to faith healers and televangelists who claim to have these abilities. Why? Because people have a tendency to worship and follow the man instead of God: they follow the faith healer instead of the one who would actually heal him. If God heals people today, he does it anonymously.

I believe that... Jesus was a good person. I also know some people that think he was insane. I ALSO know people who think that Darwin was on an alcoholic binge when he wrote that giant book. I find it hard to believe these things happened... Why aren't things like this happening now? And why did it happen then? History books describe Jesus as a carpeneter who disagreed with his Jewish community and was killed for it. The Bible described him as the son of God. I'm not sure what to believe because as a gay Christian, I am caught between my duty as a person, and my duty as a spiritual individual. So... believe what you want to. It's all a matter of faith.

I'll agree....but - if you can show me one place anywhere in Holy Scripture where it even MENTIONS Jesus and tongues....I'll eat my biretta.
{edit} My brother, you can't be serious!!??!! Anybody who has EVER studied the ancient manuscripts (Sinaiticus, Vaticanus, Alexandrinus) KNOWS that that last section of St. Mark's Gospel was NOT in the original Gospel and was added almost 200+ years after. NO ancient manuscrpt evidence exists for the final verses of Mark being in the original.
It was part of my seminary studies that most textual critics have commonly asserted that Mark 16:9–20, describing some disciples' encounters with the resurrected Jesus, was added after the original autograph.
You can agree or disagree....but I shan't eat my biretta (it's a funny Priest's hat that looks like Mickey Mouse ears!)

Yes, to all the above. I don't know how anyone can deny the Holy Spirit when they see it, especially those who call themselves Christians. When the Pharisees accused Jesus of using Satan's power to do these things, Jesus responded by saying that blasphemy of the Holy Spirit can never be forgiven.

Well the sect of Protestantism that you were born into is pretty obvious, isn't it.
If you buy into the Jesus story, you must remember that he was "The Son of God". Thus, he didn't "believe" those things, he WAS those things.
See if you can wrap your head around that. Oh, and stop asking loaded, weird questions to further your own beliefs. Your beliefs should not hinge upon others agreeing with you.
