If you are truly an Atheist why does it bother you what others believe, you see I don't believe that there is a true Atheist because an Atheist by definition does not believe in a higher power of any kind not God,not Jesus, not Muhammad, not Buddha, not in the writings of any spiritual leader,so why would they waste their time writing on a website that is titled religion and spirituality, probably to annoy others with questions meant to stir up controversy and to draw attention to themselves because by doing this they hope to seem different and interesting even in the back of their minds they see themselves as some sort of a rebel daring to be different but I hate to break it to those types of people they are not doing anything different it is not new it has already been done before so you are no different than the people you have come to loath, congratulations you failed again.

You are so right,

If you feel like things are being "shoved down your throat," I don't. I don't like someone telling me how to think either, Christian or otherwise. I don't think anyone does it on Q&A but then, I don't go to the atheists page to have people "shoving things at me." R&S might be the wrong place for you. try the "special groups" pages. Or you can sit at home and read the news paper. There are plenty of throat shoveling there. You'll think this is a breath of fresh air after that.

Sit back and watch the news, movies and nearly every other form of media. Objectively observe the number of times that the Christian god is assumed to exist. The movie "Contact" is a very good example, not only in how it portrays Christianity and religion but how it portrays the supposed atheist. If this is too great of challenge for you, then you should look at the current "debate" on same sex marriage or the recent Presidential election focusing primarily on the "republican" primaries. Objectively look at the controversy around abortion. Look at the millions of dollars that are spent in lawsuits about whether what should be taught in science classes.

I am sick of all the "questions" that are attacks on Christians. I am sick of being called an idiot just because I believe in something you don't. I'm sick to death of being accused of "shoving" Christianity down someone's throat when I have never done that.
You do whatever you want and believe whatever you want to.
However, please do not accuse me of doing something I did not do.

There are Christians who preach, but there are atheists who are rude and disrespectful as well. It is rude to call my belief "bs," especially when you cannot prove that it is "bs," as you so crudely put it.

Well, if that's the case, who are you to call their beliefs Bulls**t? Christianity isn't being shoved down our throats. If pay any attention to the news and reality itself, you'd find that Christianity is constantly attacked and belittled, while your precious atheism is being promoted. Even islam is doing better than Christianity. So, let Christians mind their own business, and mind yours as well.

Not at all. ROFL though I am a Christian so I guess according to your logic I'm not suppose to answer the question.

Peace out!

I believe there are a lot of atheists that are always running down Christians when they post to other people of faith. This is a place called "Religion and Spirituality" and someway I cannot see where atheism fits in that. Which part are you, Religion or Spiritual?

And we Christians are a little offended at atheists horning in on questions meant for other Christians. So, what is your point?

As it is, why would atheists who are neither religious nor spiritual be on a forum called Religion and Spirituality?

Khhhrhh!

I'm throwing up at the thought of an atheist talking. Damn you wrong and lost. You can't even spell atheist; go back to school.

On this forum you can't restrict your questions to one group of people and exclude others. Anyone here is free to answer any question. Those are the rules.
God loves you.
Peace.
