Topic. I was just wondering if there was any things around the house that might help get rid of blackheads on my nose. I've tried store products and had little success so I was just wondering if there was anything around the house that might help the situation. Also, is it bad to use a pin to open the pore and squeeze the blackhead out?

It's not bad to squeeze blackheads. Try boiling a pan of water and lean over, letting the steam flow to the skin for about a minute, to really relax and open up your pores. Also, you could try just taking a warm washcloth and scrub your nose gently. It works just like any other exfoliater.

Never stick anything into your skin. Try this. Using a towel, bring a pot of water to a boil. Put it on a table don't burn the table. Put the lid on to hold the steam in. Now take the towel and make a tent over your head while taking the lid off the pot of water. The steam will be very hot, be careful, take it slow and get used to the heat. Allow the steam to build up on your face, opening the pores and dripping back off the face. This is really good to do weekly. Now when you are done use a clean towel to pat the skin dry. Take some with hazel...cheap at Wall - Mart. Use a clean cloth to pat your face and then splash with cool water and pat dry again. After a few weeks of this you should feel better and the blackheads should be going away. Keep using the witch Hazel the rest of your life. It is an astringent and it balances the PH of your skin. Also very good for cooling the skin anytime. Don't get it in your eyes. Never rub your skin or hair, always pat. The bacteria from one pimple or blackhead will be spread if you rub it. Keep all pillowcases clean and don't put your face on pillows where the family use them, like maybe you have animals, this can cause your skin to pick up bacteria too. Just be aware of what you do, keep your hands clean, wash them often and don't touch your face when your hands aren't washed with soap and warm water. OK? Good luck. Miss Mary

Shake about two teaspoonfulls of baking soda in the palm of your hand. Drop a few drops of water into the baking soda to make a paste. Take the paste and rub your blackheads and all around the general area. Works as a great facial scrub and exfoilater to remove dead skin and oil that blocks your pores and causes blackheads. Then rinse with cold water.

Another idea is to put a drop of water onto an oat (whole oat meal) put the oat onto the head of the black head. It works like magic to dry up the blackhead and get the skin back to normal.
