I want to go post secondary and live with my grandma...she is the best g-ma out there but my parents want me to drive back and forth instead of just living next to the college I want to attend. It seems a lot easier then driving for an hour to and from school everyday. I don't know how to convince them and I seriously don't know how to convince them.

It sounds to me like your parents are having a hard time letting you grow up. But a lot of people go away to college all the time, often out of state, and much more than an hour away. They live in dorms where parents have no idea what's going on with their kids.

Living with your grandmother sounds like a good compromise. It will start you on your way to becoming independent, but you'll still be close by and they'll have your grandma to keep an eye on you. :)

If they still don't agree, though, since you are old enough to go to college, I assume that you are legally an adult, and therefore old enough to make this decision without your parent's consent.

So, unless they are paying for college, I would go ahead and do what you feel is best. At some point you have to make the break from your parents, and you have a right to live your own life the way that makes you happy.

But if they are paying for college, then try the bluff that lala suggested. :-)

Best of luck!
