I was born in 1939. I watched one segment of the show and thought it spent too much time on racial matters concerning the internment of the Japanese and the position of African-Americans in the U.S. military. I didn't watch the rest of the series.

I found it to be very sad in some places even though I had already known
A lot of from reading books and others things. I have always been very
Awed at the sacrifices that this countys men and women made about only 60 years ago.
Ken Burns and his crew put it together very well!

it made me feel good, im 15 and it showed me a different time , i still havent finished watching it but it made me feel really patriotic like if this were to happen again i would join the military in a second
