I am moving into my first aparment and want to get some nice furniture for it. The only things I need are living room furniture and a dining set. Are there any stores I can shop at to find really good deals? I don't want to spend more than 1500 on furniture for the entire apartment.

2 places come to mind:
1. IKEA for cheap new furniture that is modern and stylish. You can spend even less than $1500 for the entire place. But beware, you will have to buy it again in 5 years of less.
2. Thrift stores, Salvation Army, Consignment stores, Goodwill -- depending on the neighborhood you live in, you can find some great pieces at these places. Be careful with upholstery. You may want to clean or slipcover the pieces.
