There is a relatively new form of advertising out that still many people are unaware of, its called Interstitial Advertising. Instead of popups or spamming, viewers will automatically be redirected to your website from a participating advertiser when they click on a 'next' button or picture for example. Your site will open in the same window a user has open and they have the option to continue with their previous search, continue with your site, or open your site in a new window. This isn't really annoying yet users are exposed to your site.
