sometimes. they do normally but it ususaly isnt jsut old age. it has to do with nutriant depletion. in a very fertile environment a tree can live almost indeffinitly.
there is a 2000 year old bush in the mojave desert and in northen california some of the 300 - 400 foot tall redwoods are about 4000 - 6000 years old. so even if they do die from old age there is no recorded dieing age for trees in general.
other kinds of trees (i cant remeber the name) they live in huge forests in the sub arctic (northern canada and alaska) they live only a few years then they die and a new one grows out of the log or dead standing tree. they create biologicly identical trees ever few years. and because not all the trees are on the same rotation the forests still stand year round.
so yes and no. sometimes they do sometimes they dont it all really depends on the tree. but as a general statement no they dont die from old age.
and dont believe anyone who says trees cant die because they are alive they just arent animals.

All trees will die from old age, but some of them can live very long, some trees can live more than 4000 years.

They do die from old age, if they make it that long. Usually once they reach a certain point, they get weaker towards fighting off disease and bugs. Their age is species specific. Oh, and btw, the redwoods don't live to be 3000-4000 years old. It's more like 1000-2000, sometimes nearly 3000. The only trees that get to be that old are bristlecone pines.

Yes, trees can die of 'old age'. As a tree ages the amount of energy it needs to stay alive catches up with the amount of energy it can make via photosynthesis. Eventually, the tree cannot keep up with its needs and starts declining in health. When this happens, it is more susceptible to insect and disease damage. It will eventually die.

No they die from animals eating it on the inside and from cruel people cutting them pore lovely trees down. If they could show emotions they would be crying and scramming for help.

Trees die from other things before they die of old age. Examples are, dead roots, poisoned roots, suffocated roots-from pavement and concrete, flooding, drought, insects and, damage from man.
