Navy. med discharge Psycotic disorder NOS.
passing an eval is no problem because there is nothing wrong with me. I was pissed because my recrutier completely lied to me when i joined and i ended slaving painting and scrapeing paint for two years. I never joined up for that and at the time it seemed like the best way out. Being much older now I know exactly what i want to do in the Navy, I want to go SEAL but have i blown my chance? Please help thanks.

Navy. med discharge Psycotic disorder NOS.
I will pass an eval with no problem because there is nothing wrong with me. I was pissed because my recrutier completely lied to me when i joined and I ended up slave working, painting and scrapeing paint all day everyday for two years. I never joined up for that and at the time it seemed like the best way out. Being much older now I know exactly what I want to do in the Navy, I want to go SEAL but have I blown my chance? Is there any chance on earth? and will the VA screw me over? Please help thanks.

This is what I would tell you. Get an evaluation done then contact VA to get your RE code changed from 4 to a 3 at least. That is where I would start.

It is almost impossible for you to re-enlist. Something similar happened to me and I thought with the military being so desperate for troops it would be a chance to "redeem" myself. I got an honorable discharge re-enlistment code 4
You can contact the review board at homeland security but they will only change it if they "made a mistake with your code" which they will obviously say they did not. Also, it depends on how long ago it happened. If it's more than a certain number of years, even if they did make a mistake they won't change it. By the way, it will take them about a year to reply. Sorry.

you are screwed. an RE 4 means you are NOT recommended for re enlistment whatsoever. the Navy won't take you,and even if by some miracle they were desperate enough to do so, SeALs is right out. the Psychotic disorder DQs you altogether. if you lied/faked it, you now get to reap the consequences.

the ONLY Branch that MIGHT consider an RE4 on a case by case basis is the National Guard.

no chance at seal or any kind of SF or officer program of any service. You can apply to have it changed, good luck with that. The Army National Guard can take you with a NGB waiver that'll take a phone book sized package of documentation a recruiter would have to put together for you on the low probability of approval (meaning time away from family & recruiting people that aren't as hard). Best of luck to ya.

I do not think you will ever be a SEAL with the Psych discharge.

You may be able to re-enlist but you may end up scraping paint again.

You are not eligible for enlistment in any other branch, nor are you eligible for re-enlistment in the branch from which you were discharged. You had a pre-existing condition which should have disqualified you from serving in the first place. The authority for your discharge was BUMEDINST. 1910.3 Series and it was done by way of a Report of Medical Board. Did I miss anything?

You were given an Honorable discharge correct? Yes if that is the case you should be able to re-enlist depending on whether you completed basic or not will determine what category by that I mean not completing basic makes you a glossary non-prior and you won't be eligible for any sign on bonuses of course you probably can't anyway but you should still be able to re-up if you want to good luck
