in the t.v. show LOST, who are the antagonist(s)?

It took more then the first few episodes
for " The Others " to appear.

Let's see,
1. One Woman was a prisoner on transport.

2. A Man was a dead beat Dad, who had
to take custody of his Son when the
child's Mother died.

3. One Guy only thinks of himself.

4. There's a Singer druggie.

5. A love lorned Brother, who's Stepsister
treated him like her gopher. Then loved, and dropped him .
( Ian, I almost stopped watching the show
when your character was killed ).

We find out, most of them have something
in their past.

Just like my favorite character Boo Radley did in the book
" To Kill A Mocking Bird ".

There aren't really any antagonist characters in the first few episodes, except for the Smoke Monster.
