Too many my friend. I was unfortunate enough to add to that total the last time I was in Iraq. I dont even wear my purple heart, all it is, is an enemy markshmanship badge.

Rough estimate is around 28,000 with many of those seriously (i.e Traumatic head wounds, amputations etc.) But more exact data is below and on the link.

there is no way to tell. if it happens in this situation it gets counted, if it happens in that situtation it does not get counted. its all lies. for example, if a soldier dies on the plane or helicopter, he isn't listed as dying because it didn't happen on the battlefield. i don't believe a word bush says, and i voted for him twice. i am so so so sorry.
