Around a week ago, the doc switched my dose from 20 mg to 15 mg of adderall. I don't feel like the drug is doing much, but I can't tell if this would really make a difference. I used to take 30 mg XR, but I think it effected my sleeping paatterns. I would like to know the effective dosage that should my age and weight would take. Thanks.

I take Adderall and also have Sleep Apnea and two things I have noticed is that being sleep deprived really kills any benefit that Adderall can give me and one good night sleep every now and then won't cut it. It takes a couple or three weeks of good sound sleep to recover. I'd say give it some more time and keep a chart of what you notice and when (i.e. effects, side effects, diet, good days, bad days, hours slept and how sound each night was).

My doctor told me there is no set dose, it is about what dose works for you. If 15 is not enough ask the doc to go back up to 20 and see if that works.

If you don't feel like it's helping you, then you need to talk to your doctor. You don't get a dosage recommendation from online.....PLEASE.
