Do you really not know the answer to this?
The grand mufti of jerusalem(the supreme muslim religious leader of the time) was a very active ally of Hitler. Not only that he was an active SS member he went to germany and actually suggested the holocaust to hitler!!! Hitler was intending at the time to deport the jews to jerusalem and the "grand" mufti of jerusalem suggested holocaust instead! The chechyans and albanians and bosnian muslims were all nazi allies and SS members also. Did you really not know that the koran says that muslims must exterminate the jewish people?? Winston Churchill called the koran "the evil book of islam" and "the muslim mein kampf".

Muslims are people who believe in Islam--a religion. World War II was fought by nation-states and any citizen would have fought for his own country, regardless of religion.
But the short answer is the Western Allies. There were probably very few Germans, Italians, or Japanese who were Muslim.
France brought numerous troops from its North African colonies who were Muslim to fight in Europe, as they had in World War I. Today's Islamic states did not exist and the peoples were generally under the protection, mandate, or colonial rule of the British, but not many of the inhabitants fought. Indian troops--mostly Hindu but Muslim as well (India included what are now the Muslim countries of Pakistan and Bangladesh)--fought with the British in North Africa against the Germans and served in eastern India against the Japanese.

Hagar22;
I am curious as to where you obtained this information? Maybe you could add the source to your posting?
As for the question; Being Muslim during WW2 was no more of an issue than being Catholic or C of E. Muslims fought on all sides as did members of all other denominations. There seems to be a confusion between being Arabic and being Muslim here. An Arab can be a member of any religious group that he chooses, as can yourself.

Both.
You had Muslims in the French & British Army's and some Muslims from Yugoslavia with the German Waffen-SS (13th Handschar Divisione) and some POW's who volunteered for the Germans.
In the Pacific, you had Moro Tribesmen in the Phillipines fighting the Japanese, and Chandras Bose's Indian National Army(comprised of POW's of the Japanese) fighting in Burma against the British.

I don't know if Muslims, in general, were all on the same side or whether Muslims belonging to different nations had varying allegiances, but I do know that Muslims from north Africa fought with the French and helped to repel the Germans.

The Arabs were on the side of the Allies diring ww2 because they made a deal brokered by Lawrence of Arabia who was a secret agent while pretending to be a geologist/archeologist type. The deal was that the Arabs would help the Allies during the war and at the end the Allies would leave Arabia and it was to become one big country for the Arabs, but they were double crossed at the end and it was broken up into many countries.

The Middle Eastern Nations didn't really take part all that much but I'd say the Allies since Germany and Italy had to fight their way into Africa.
