everyone about the name Jehovah?

JWs say that the Jehovah name is the most important. They feel it so important that they go door to door telling people about the name of Jehovah.

I do not think that we even know the correct way of pronounce this name of Jehovah. You cannot find the original name of Jehovahin the OT original writings. You can only find the consonants YHVH

Jesus never used his fathers name, however, the Watchtower society saw fit to replace Lord with the tetragrammaton which they now pronounce Jehovah. Whilst it is probably correct to do this in the OT, there is absolutely NO evidence of these four letters appearing in the NT, with one exception, in that it appears in the shortened form pronounced Jah in Revelation (halleluJAH). There are many very early copies of the gospels, some as soon as 30-60 years after the cruxifiction and yet none of them mention YHWH. The JW's woud have you believe that a great apostacy occured from the third century onward that removed Jehovahs name, quite a feat, unfortunately this does not explain why the name does not appear in these early copies. I have said this before, and I will repeat it; why did Jesus not tell his followers to preach Gods name to all the nation rather than 'the good news'? True, the disciples would have known Gods name but Jesus would have known that millions would come who had never heard it. Also, if Gods name was so important to him, surely he is more than powerful enough to protect it from this so called 'apostasy'. I know I said that to 'replace' Gods name in the OT was probably correct but I do have some doubts about some of these 'replacements'. Take Deuteronomy 6:4 for instance. Which of these makes more sense 'Jehovah your God is one Jehovah' (NWT); or, 'The Lord our God is one Lord' (KJ)? To say the first is nonsense, it is akin to saying "Paul my husband is one Paul"; or, "Janet your sister is one Janet". Sounds nonsensical doesn't it? I pray daily that those held captive by the Watchtower society are led to the truth by the Holy Spirit and set free. They often quote Revelation 18:4 about Babylon the Great which says 'get out of her my people', they would do well to look back at ancient Babylon and remember that it held Gods children captive and then to take a long hard look at themselves and the organisation and ask 'am I free or am I a slave also'. It is a hard thing to do, and often it isn't until you are free that you realise you have been enslaved.

If the name was not important, it wouldn't have been used over 6000 times in the Bible. However, men thought it was unimportant, and thats why they removed his name from the New Testament, and replaced it with "Lord" and "God".

Jehovah is actually the divine name (YHWH) translated into English... So I'm not sure where you going with that one.

I can provide you many scriptures about his name, but here is just a few...

Jesus says:

Matthew 6:9
9"This, then, is how you should pray: " 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,

Hallowed means "Regard as holy"

Take a look at Jesus' own name, it means "Jehovah is Salvation"

And what precisely makes all of you think of Jesus and 'Him' are the comparable man or woman? you're justifying your incorrect interpretation. Jesus isn't element of nor a character everywhere interior the old testomony. era. To have confidence in any different case is dillusional as no single reference states in any different case. Jesus isn't i'm. Jesus isn't the daddy. Jesus isn't Him. Jesus isn't LORD. the sole different call he incorporates is Lord. return and study your verses recognizing God is i'm, LORD, Father, Him and Jesus is Jesus Lord of his disciples (an particularly undemanding be attentive to the time denoting a frontrunner). Jesus makes this fairly clean repeatedly and in case you prefer to work out or you will fail your try

The way the watch tower society uses the name Jehovah in their day to day use of the name is completely different from how Jesus and the disciples used it. It s very clear even to a child when reading the bible that the first century true Christians never used Gods name in a general day to day speech in the way the watch tower does. Simply read all of Paul s opening letters and you will clearly see that the way he addressed God and Jesus etc was completely different form how the watchtower society addresses God in their day to day speech.

It doesn't. JWs took the time to rewrite the Bible to fit their interpretation of who God is. If you look at what the JWs believe, they are much closer to Judaism then they are with Christianity. Sadly, because of some of the changes, people of the JW faith have put their lives in danger by not allowing a blood transfusion even in the case of a medical emergency.

This is not said to attach their faith, just to point out a few facts about them. JW people are good people, they have just tied into something that they should not have. Pray for them, they and their families need it.

Yes, Jesus said "I AM" more than once.

As disciples of Jesus Christ a person should emulate Jesus:

John 17:3. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. 6. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

God's name:
Exodus 3:
14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

Hebrew- אהיה אשר אהיה, pronounced Ehyeh asher ehyeh

Psalms 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”

YHWH is given modern definition JHVH and eoa from Elohim /Adonai.
bad - very bad transliteration/translation

Hebrew word " הַלְלוּיָהּ " Halləlûyāh = "Praise Yah"

If it was Proper to refer to our Father as Jehovah, Jesus would have made that clear. Like I said in previously, Jesus did not start the Lords Prayer with: "O Jehovah" He said "Our Father" Which is the example he set, and theone I will follow.

Not a JW.

The entire 17th Chapter of John is a prayer by Jesus.

Part of this prayer is asking God Almighty to bless and keep his disciples as they continue his work of declaring God to others as he did.

Jesus sent his followers out two by two to towns to declare that the Messiah had come and would be in town preaching. They would find a synagogue and or an area that would serve the purpose of Jesus bringing the message of Belief, Repentance, Salvation, and Baptism.

If the town did not receive them they where to shake the dust from their feet as they left signifying to the people that they were rejecting the Messiah.

Later Paul went from synagogue to synagogue preaching and when invited taught in peoples' homes which is what he meant by house to house.

The tetragrammaton. Nobody knows what are the missing vowels.

No, there is no such text.

"Jehovah" is the English representation of the Tetragrammaton (the personal name of God) which appears nearly 7000 (SEVEN THOUSAND) times in the bible. A person who aspires to true worship should certainly use SOME FORM of this name; its Hebrew form is likely "Yahweh" or "Yehowah".

This question is almost shocking in its disregard for the actual truth of bible teachings regarding the divine name of the Almighty, and in using that name especially in prayer.

(Nehemiah 1:11) Jehovah, please, let your ear become attentive to the prayer of your servant and to the prayer of your servants who take delight in fearing your name

(Luke 11:2) Whenever you pray, say, ‘Father, let your name be sanctified

(James 5:14) Is there anyone sick among you? ...Let them pray over him, greasing him with oil in the name of Jehovah.

The bible teaches that a certain kind of person would disrespect the divine name.

(Psalm 74:18) The enemy himself has reproached, O Jehovah, And a senseless people have treated your name with disrespect.

The bible also teaches what would happen to those who refuse to use and honor the name of Jehovah.

(Malachi 2:2) If you will not lay it to heart to give glory to my name," Jehovah of armies has said, "I shall also certainly send upon you the curse

(Psalm 83:16-18) Fill their faces with dishonor, That people may search for your name, O Jehovah. 17 O may they be ashamed and be disturbed for all times, And may they become abashed and perish; 18 That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

(Isaiah 52:5,6) The utterance of Jehovah, "and constantly, all day long, my name was being treated with disrespect. 6 For that reason my people will know my name

According to the bible, what must ALL people do with regard to Jehovah's name?

(Psalm 29:2) Ascribe to Jehovah the glory of his name.

(Psalm 86:8-9) There is none like you among the gods, O Jehovah, Neither are there any works like yours. 9 All the nations whom you have made will themselves come, And they will bow down before you, O Jehovah, And will give glory to your name.

The bible also teaches that there are real benefits for those who appropriately use the name Jehovah.

(Romans 10:13) Everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved

(Acts 2:21) And everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.

(Joel 2:32) And it must occur that everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will get away safe

(Malachi 3:16) And a book of remembrance began to be written up before him for those in fear of Jehovah and for those thinking upon his name.

(Nehemiah 1:11) Jehovah, please, let your ear become attentive to the prayer of your servant and to the prayer of your servants who take delight in fearing your name

Who can reasonably be called "a people for Jehovah's name"? What does the bible say about this people?

(Isaiah 43:12) There was among you no strange god. So you are my witnesses," is the utterance of Jehovah, "and I am God.

(Zephaniah 3:9) I shall give to peoples the change to a pure language, in order for them all to call upon the name of Jehovah, in order to serve him shoulder to shoulder.

(Micah 4:5) For all the peoples, for their part, will walk each one in the name of its god; but we, for our part, shall walk in the name of Jehovah our God to time indefinite, even forever.

(Isaiah 52:5-7) The utterance of Jehovah, "and constantly, all day long, my name was being treated with disrespect. 6 For that reason my people will know my name... 7 How comely upon the mountains are the feet of the one bringing good news, the one publishing peace, the one bringing good news of something better, the one publishing salvation

(Malachi 1:11) For from the sun’s rising even to its setting my name will be great among the nations, and in every place sacrificial smoke will be made, a presentation will be made to my name, even a clean gift; because my name will be great among the nations," Jehovah of armies has said.

Here are some additional Scriptures that mention God's personal name. There are THOUSANDS MORE. Do any of these seem to imply that the name "Jehovah" is unimportant?

(Psalm 148:13) Let them praise the name of Jehovah, For his name alone is unreachably high.
(Micah 5:4) He will certainly stand and do shepherding in the strength of Jehovah, in the superiority of the name of Jehovah his God
(Psalm 9:10) And those knowing your name will trust in you, For you will certainly not leave those looking for you, O Jehovah.
(Psalm 34:3) O magnify Jehovah with me, YOU people, And let us exalt his name together.
(Zephaniah 3:12) A people humble and lowly, and they will actually take refuge in the name of Jehovah.
(Revelation 15:4) Who will not really fear you, Jehovah, and glorify your name, because you alone are loyal?. . .
(Micah 6:8,9) And what is Jehovah asking... the person of practical wisdom will fear your name.
(Psalm 96:2) Sing to Jehovah, bless his name.
(Psalm 105:1) Give thanks to Jehovah, call upon his name, Make known among the peoples his dealings.
(Psalm 54:6) I shall laud your name, O Jehovah, for it is good.
(Micah 4:5) For all the peoples, for their part, will walk each one in the name of its god; but we, for our part, shall walk in the name of Jehovah our God to time indefinite, even forever.
(Psalm 118:26) Blessed be the One coming in the name of Jehovah
(Matthew 21:9) Blessed is he that comes in Jehovah's name!
(Matthew 23:39) Blessed is he that comes in Jehovah's name!
(Mark 11:9) Blessed is he that comes in Jehovah's name!
(Luke 13:35) Blessed is he that comes in Jehovah's name.
(John 12:13) Blessed is he that comes in Jehovah's name
