do you believe you have to pray in order to be saved? Can one be saved who does not pray?

Prayer is a conversation with God---you must talk to him and be sorry for your sins and wish to be saved so yes, you must pray---this is of course if someone has already been baptized, Suppose you came upon a car accident and someone was unconscious and dieing and you baptized them---they would be saved too. But, I would say that someone else had been praying for that individual as the Lord would not provide the means for baptism if he did not want to.

Here is how you can receive Christ:
1. Admit your need (I am a sinner.)
2. Change your attitude that you can save yourself. Change your attitude to the fact that only Christ can save you by what He did on the cross (Repent...means a change of mind or attitude)
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you and rose from the grave.
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior)

You were born in sin, and that is the sin, God send His Son Jesus Christ, to pay our price for. Jesus acted as our scape goat, and took those sin upon His,and paid the price. we were now saved from that sin, but now since we now have Jesus interceding for us with His Father, we can come to God, by Jesus, in repentance, and ask God for his Grace for our sins, and with His forgiveness, we can go and live a sinless life, as Jesus did His. We have to have faith, and believe in Jesus.
