Granted, you need it to get into heaven. Are you born with it, like many sects of Chistianity believe, meaning you can only get to heaven if you were blessed from birth and manage not to screw up your chances? Do believe something contrary to this traditional Christian teaching?

Grace, by definition, is "unmerited favor". It means you didn't earn it. It is a gift. Anyone can accept the gift. Not everyone does.

Grace is an internal equilibrium between being/reality, a spiritual balance or centeredness that is more related to karma. It is unrelated to the subject of heaven in the afterdeath sense. Heaven and hell can only be experienced in the now. Understanding why some people are in this spiritual state - in which reality synchronzies with essential being - is only necessary if you intend to try and replicate it psychologically. This is a better idea that contemplating the original purpose of your question.

Will and Grace was a good show.

The being born with it would mean the majority of the bible would be false. You couldn't get saved or do anything to prevent your doom. That would be stupid.

Grace is clearly "God's unmerited favor towards us".

Grace is infused sacramentally. A Sacrament is an outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace.

The Bible doesn't support what you're saying at all. The Bible says to go to heaven, believe that Jesus, who is God, died for your sins on the cross and rose again.
