What is a Traditional Anglican Priest?

Question

I have just read Father K's profile and he says he is a Traditional Anglican Priest, but a Catholic, I always thought Anglicans was not Catholic.

Iam confused, can someone explain this to me?

Father K I watched the video and it really opened my eyes up and I think all Priests should be allowed to get married. Thank you for letting me watch that, I now understand, I am going to go to an Traditional Anglican Mass as I felt peace watching that clip

Anglicans are more similar to Catholic than to Protestant, most refer to themselves as Catholics.

ironic because the Anglican Church as a rough history with Catholics in England(or was that the Puritans)

Anglicans often like to call themselves Catholic because they share many things in common with the Roman Catholic church. They are not in communion with the Pope so are not really Catholic.

Over here in Australia Anglican is mainstream christian~ the church of England.
They are not catholic~ here in my town we have catholics and Anglicans. 2 separate churches.

there are many 'catholics' who are not roman catholics - such as eastern orthodox catholics and anglicans and a few other early reformation sects.

basically, an anglican catholic priest differs from a roman catholic priest insofar as he is allowed to grant divorces to british monarchs who are tired of having to cut off their wives' heads everytime they want a new one.
