I recommend you exercise and bathe one hour before bed. THat is free, then you will rest and you can talk to your counselor at school and tell them you need to have a tutor to catch up due to this problem. EXERCISE.

If you are so poor, dont you qualify for State health benifits? I am aware you have to make less than a certain amount of money to qualify adn half of the popultion makes justa little too much and are slipping through the cracks. I never was in taht percentage, we were so poor they gave us complete health care free. I dont understand why healthcare is so expensive. Its that War on The Middle Class, thats what it is, they are becoming extinct, so there is only the terribel poor and the terrible rich. There is something wrong with this country.
Have you tried warm milk? Drink a glass of that before you go to sleep, and when you go to sleep dont watch tv or read or listen to music. Do you need white noise to sleep, like a fan, try that. The key to sleeping when you are stressed is to not think. I dont mean to not think at all, I mean to not think of your problems. I am bipolar, so there are times I cant sleep for days on end, and when I need sleep, I rearrange peoples houses in my mind. I want to be in interior desinger so I will take a house I love, like an aunts or a friends and I think of what I would do if I could redo the house. I pick everyhting out, down to pictures on the walls. Eventually, sometimes after laying there for hours, I fall asleep. This works becasue I am relaxed and doing what I love and not worrying.
Walmart has a genric brand of the pill Unisom, it is $2 for a months worth of pills. It works really well, If the relaxation doesnt owrk, you could try this. And if for some reason, you cant afford $2 a month, you shoudl go and talk to you school nirse, they might be able to help you.
All these people taking about exersind all that, never exercise for at least ah hour before bed, if you do your blood will be pumpming and you will never get to sleep. As for the people telling you to not pay internet and buy healthcare, What the heck do they know? Decent healthcare will cost you over $350 dollars a month. Internet is liem what $30 or so? How is that $30 dollars gonna buy you healthcare? It isnt. Ignore them, they are idiots. I know what it is liek to be poor and I know what is is like to wonder if the water company will shut your water off this month or will they let you slide another month. I know what it is liekto be 15 and worried over things no person should ever have to worry about, like can I afford for next week. I am 20 now,I married my high school sweetheart, he is a marine, and we are doing better than we have ever been in our lives. I just wanna say to you, and not religiuosly, although it is in the bible, "the meek shall inherit the earth." I take that as if you have a hard life as a child, it can only get better, and it does, It really does.

I would like you to play the "what if" game and instead of focusing about what IS, think about how you want things to be. For instance, "What if I fell into a really deep and restful sleep and had awesome dreams that felt so real! And what if I woke up and felt rested and ready to take on the day with a big smile! What if the kids at school started smiling back at me all the time and the teachers made helpful comments to me. What if I could be DO, BE or HAVE anything that I want?" (p.s. - you can)
Thoughts are things and what you focus on grows. So whatever you're thinking or talking about - is what you're gonna get - and I think you can see that from what you've got.
So why not start telling the story of the way YOU want it to be?
You are the only one who can make this decision for yourself.
Just remember, life is supposed to be FUN. And it doesn't matter how rich or poor you are - you can still have a happy life. How? By finding ways to feel better or to think a happier thought. Sound pretty hokey? I know. But just try it. You'll see....
And it's free.

If you cant afford doctors, there are ways around this, there are health clinics and some doctors bulk bill on request if need be! But if you cant afford health care maybe you should cut off your internet connection?
And Sleeping pills will not be needed, you should try and work around this logically before resorting to drugs that can often cause more damage!
What do you do of an afternoon, after school!?
Try exercising, participate inn sports at school, be more active in your life just little things like walk of an afternoon, walk to school and back if you can- Join friends at the beach or dancing, at the local basket ball court- What ever you might have access to!
Diet: Dont eat Junk food and dont eat atleast 2 hours before bed time, have a warm milk before bed.....
We are not the ones that need to help you, firsst you must help your self!
Book a meeting with a school counsellor, just to chat!
You could have sleep acne- But this is something that has to be diagnosed by a doctor, do you have a school nurse who could suggest anything?
Have you talked to your guardians about this problem? Maybe they are in more of a position to make sure you get health care-
and last but not least, make sure your bedroom is comfortable, change your sheets, make your bed up face it away from windows, make your surrounding comfortable, is your mattress a cause? Sleep with a teddy (i still do) wear a eye mask if you have to and concerntrate on relaxing thoughts, you could play some soft relaxing harmony music for a while.... There are plenty of things to look at, but you must try and work this out, Why? first before the solution, you cant fix something when you dont know the cause-
Look into your life and life style and see what you can come up with and go chat to your counsellor or youth group leader, community worker, there are plenty of people who care about your wellbeing
:)

Do you have some relaxing classical music? You could try playing that softly in the background as you sleep. You could write all your worries down in a journal or something like it before you sleep. Then imagine them disappearing. Remember that sleep time is not for work or thinking about work or for worrying. Relax, maybe take a nice bath before bed, and go to bed at the same time each night. All I can say is relax. RELAX. Don't think about how much sleep youre going to get, just think that however much sleep you'll get will be enough, and believe it. And don't look at a screen at least 30 minutes before sleeping (no computer, tv.....) it will keep your brain awake for longer.
Good luck!

You say you cannot afford to go to a doctor. I say that you cannot afford NOT to.
You don't need a psychiatrist. You don't need sleeping pills, You don't need to be insulted by people who, from the anonymity of the Internet, question your family's spending habits. For all hatdude knows (not much, I would guess) you could be writing for a school or public library computer. You don't need anyone laying Bible stuff on you either--and I say that as a Christian.
Is there a nurse at your school? Are there free medical clinics in your community?
You haven't said what time you go to bed. That is important information.
Insomnia is something that nearly everyone has at some point or other in his or her life. You can deal with it.
I don't know what's wrong with you, but smart money is on anxiety. You need to talk to a doctor about it. There are ways to deal with anxiety that do not require medication--or cost of any kind.

You are NOT gonna die. Just relax at night and eventually you'll sleep. Don't watch TV or go on the computer at least forty five minutes before bed. Read a book, or lie there, or listen to calming music, relax, take deep breaths. Have you tried warm milk or herbal teas? Don't eat an hour before you go to bed, or past eight o clock at night. Sleeping pills aren't that expensive, anyway. If all else fails, DO try them.

Maybe try having a hot shower before bed and go lay in bed like an hour earlier than normal. Stop worrying about it though, just lay down. If you stress over it you won't be able to sleep because you'll be so worried. Maybe try reading in bed or something, to relax a little. I hope this helps, I know how hard it is to function at school when you've had only a few hours sleep.

I recommend relaxation.
You question oozes anxiety.
You don't need to use drugs at 15.
You don't exercise, then start. You can take a brisk walk, or go for a jog. It will help you burn up energy.
Stay completely away from sodas, and junk food.
You are concentrating too hard on falling asleep. Which is actually counter productive to falling asleep.
Try relaxation techniques like these...
Use lavender lotion, or have a lavender sache (You can get these at nearly any store) Put on the lotion before bedtime. Do not listen to any fast music. Try listening to something relaxing like Brahms, Mendelsson, Chopin etc..
Keep lighting low.
Don't concentrate on anything, like your big day or anything like that. It will create an anixous feeling.
When you do lie down, Try this technique. It helped me when I absolutely couldn't fall asleep...
Imagine it is winter.
Then in your mind, see the very first snowflake falling from the sky. Watch it swirl until it lands on the ground. Continue watching it "snow" in your mind, the flakes piling up higher and higher.
It will relax you.
You may also want to speak to someone. What is going on in your life that is making you feel like you are going to die?
You may be having panic attacks.
Speak to your parents, or if you simply don't want to speak to your parents, talk to someone at school.
But honestly, Try relaxing.
Take a deep breath.

I think the exaggeration is a bit much but try really tiring yourself out for a change. Exercise (run around the block, take the family pet for an extra walk). Avoid TV and/ or computer usage at least 30 mins. before bed. Don't eat or drink before bed. Try to shower in the morning and eat some fruit or something healthy in the morning before school. Bring good food for little snacks and have a balanced lunch. Try talking with your school nurse... a FREE resource at the school. Good Luck.

Exercise is a good way to tire your body out so you can sleep. State programs provide medical care for those who can't afford it. Talk to your school counselor. He or she will be able to help you. Don't let this go too long. It sounds like you really need help from a professional. I will tell you this, sleeping pills is not intended for a 15 year old.
