Don't buy Rossetta stone I find it to be a terrible program. Use PImsleur or trial by fire. Meaning living and surviving in Germany.

Submersion i.e. live in Germany. Or buy the Rosetta Stone program for German.

Total immersion. My nephew lived in Berlin for a year and picked up the language quickly.
