Photo Book Ideas?

Question

I would love to make a photo book for one of my family members for christmas the only problem is the only photos I have on my computer are of nature pics I have taken myself.
I have no idea what to make, I thought about making a baby book for my siL shes pregnant and is due early nov. i dunno give me some ideas people

You could put pictures of her pregnancy, the baby shower, and the newborn. First Thanksgiving, maybe even a first holiday picture or two. You would need to get the book ordered at least a couple of weeks before Christmas, depending upon where you are ordering from. The turn around is often less than a week for some publishers, but I wouldn't want to take chances, especially that time of year. You should have plenty to fill one of the smaller size books, and depending on how prolific you are in your photography. maybe even a bigger one.

You could use seasonal landscapes as the background layer. Take some still life type photos of baby things and use them for backgrounds as well. Maybe add a couple of baby pictures of Mom and Dad.

When my granddaughter was an infant, I dressed and posed her just like an old photo of her other Grandmother and did a series of B&W. (They looked identical at that age!) You could recreate a pose like that.

Have you considered a calendar? You could mix some of your nature photos with ones of the wedding, current ones of her pregnancy and the newborn. You can then start a photo journal of the new arrival from Day 1 until the 1st. birthday and give that as a gift for Christmas 2008.

Check spectrumsoftware for easy to do calendar kits. I've used them and given them as gifts. You can personalize them by putting a person's photo on their birthday.
