Sorry, Humbert, but I've got a job, a preschooler and a husband that works a ten-hour-a-day job.
Maybe when I'm widowed and retired, I'll have that 24 hours!

Last November, I pulled a 24-hour stint. The only reason I was here for so long was that the report trolls had gone berserk, and various participants went to every category asking Yahoo! users to list some of their unfair violations.
When hundreds had been gathered, it occurred to us that these posts would be deleted without customer care ever reading them. So with the help of 2 other r+s regulars, I spent hours copy/pasting every false violation, and transferring them to the main answers forum.
This was exceedingly tedious, because you can't identify other users over there--it's a violation. I had to take out everyone's name, leaving only the first and last letters, with asterisks in-between. Here's an example...R**Q***n. In that way, the original letter writers could easily find their posts and elaborate, if necessary.
Finally, at 6:15 a.m., I had the last post transferred. I then went to make the announcement in the r+s forum that the thread originator's post (the one in r+s alone received over 175 answers) had been delivered, only to find that Yahoo! had just deleted it. We cut it *that* close.
I'd pull another shift like that if I had to, and as to whether our efforts made a difference I don't know. But we got the word out, we made Katie and Jane from customer care aware of a serious problem, and I think now they may be a little more willing to take us seriously. Thing is, everyone has to pull together. We hoped on that night that our voices made a difference, and we united as one.

I think that I've been here for 24 hours straight... let's see, my mom left me and my younger brother alone at home for 10 days so I was in charge... I can't sleep without my mommy so I would speep like from 5:00AM to 9:00 AM .... I left the PC on the entire night and it was logged in in YA... before the sleep and after it, I would only stand up to go to the bathroom, get some food (and eat it in front of the computer) and go downstairs to get the mail..... Normally I spend like 8 hours a day here I believe, I'm also saving to buy an iMac to log in wherever there is wireless so I don't miss anything (I'm serious!! :] ) Oh well I would LOVE it if we made a 24 hour stay here! :D

The longest I have been on here at any time is for a few minutes, 30 tops. I have come back several times during a day, however and checked on answers, etc. I do not have long periods of time that I can spend here.

Not sure, the character or tone changes too much through out a 24 hour period depending on the day. At times it seems more rational and at others just a mud slinging fest. I don;t thin I could handle it for 24 hours.

I've found hours slipping stealthily by while on R&S. It may be possible to do the 24 hrs, (can alcohol be involved?) but, it would only make me feel like a useless member of society. I probably don't need encouragement for a bad habbit.

Contact R&S and suggest it.
Many people have to work may not be able to spend 24 hrs.
I am sure there are some people who would join you for 24 hrs.You may need to tell them when you are available.
