Michelle: Homophobia is the irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals.[1] It can also mean hatred, hostility, or disapproval of homosexual people, sexual behavior, or cultures, and is generally used to insinuate bigotry.[2] The term homophobic means "prejudiced against homosexual people,"[3] and a person who is homophobic is a homophobe.

NEWSFLASH!!!

Seriously, HOMOSEXUALITY IS FORMED FROM A DISEASE AS A CHILD... but it is a curable disease like syphilils or ghonoreah. lol.

But, it's true. It's not biological @ all. (to a point.)

EVEN IF IT WAS BIOLOGICAL, then STEM-CELL RESEARCH could cure ALL THE GAY PEOPLE!!! That's more of a "disease" than "HOMOPHOBIA" could ever be considered.

WHY WOULD CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIANS NOT WANT THAT!?!?!?

(I am against Stem-Cell research due only to the simple fact that they kill babies for other selfish people who put life on Earth before anything else.)

It's nothing more than just trying to play God, ya'mean?

P.S. My religion doesn't tell me to hate gay people.

I JUST THINK IT'S TOTALLY DISGUSTING, even if my religion didn't consider it wrong.

NOT BEING A BIGOT!!!!~~~~~
JUST USING SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE...

ha! Yeah! What now, playa?

Idk, I'm bored. CyaL8r.

First of all, how can stem cell research "cure" homophobia. It is a state of mind, not a disease.

Also, not all Christians are homophobic. I am Catholic, and I am not afraid of gays, nor do I hate them. I do not agree with homosexuality, but I will not stop them; it is their choice.

Finally, I am not against stem cell research. I am against embryonic and fetal stem cell research because it either ends the life of a person or takes advantage of their death. I have no problem whatsoever about adult, amniotic, umbilical, or any other type of stem cells that don't end or harm a life.

Well, if you can cure this, I for one think its great. I am a Christian, and there are many like me who agree.

I also have multiple sclerosis, a disease that could be greatly effected by some stem cell research. The concern many Christians have is that research may turn into the practice of conception for the purposes of creating embryos for research purposes. Since many Christians understand an embryo to be a human life, this would be the basest sort of slavery from that perspective. That's the issue.

As long as that possibility is safe guarded against, most Christians, even the most conservative ones, have no problem with stem cell research that does not involve an embryo that has already failed gestation (or if you prefer - fetus that has died.)

Hope this helps! Grace & Peace.

Sorry. There is no cure for homophobia. That's nurture, not nature.

Christians are not against stem cell research. Christians are against getting those stem cells from embryos, the same as they're against abortion. Scientists have found plenty of other sources for stem cells, including but not limited to cord blood and even cheek cells, so there is absolutely no reason to destroy embryos in the process.

Who would like to be the first to donate their brain stem cells? Whoever is "for" stem cell research should be the first to donate theirs. Or better yet, how about the stem cells of your first child since that's how they are getting them now, the parents are just not aware of it. Good luck with the research!

Hopefully stem cells will also cure intelligentophobia. In that way you can get over you fear of asking an intelligent question.

I'm an atheist and I view embryonic stem cell research which destroys embryos as cold blooded murder of innocent human life.

Stem cell use is not a religious issue, it's a moral issue.

I oppose fetal stem cell research because ending one life to save another is immoral. Where does it stop?

It's because the stem cells come from aborted babies and it promotes abortion to accept the use of them for any purpose.
That's Catholic belief, anyway.

I'm not Catholic anymore, but that's the reason.

I don't think homophobia can be cured or if it can it doesn't mean it is right to make people receive said treatment. Thinking like yours is very similar to people who want to cure homosexuals. If it is not right to force homosexuals then it shouldn't be right to force homophobes to be cured.
