Note that it's not a quote attributed to Jesus. He didn't teach that. I'm a Christian, and I support gay rights. Always have, always will.

Don't stop at the Old Testament...Romans 1 says (a little kinder), the same thing. The law was given to show man how to be perfect like God.But guess what? We are not perfect so God allowed sacrifices to "cover" those sins. The law is to make you stop and say"Wow! What's the use? I could never live up to it!" Then through the scriptures God says 'Do these sacrifices looking forward to when I will really take away sin ,not just "Cover" it(which is what atonement means :to cover up)'.Then God showed through the scriptures how ,when and where He would do it.Even when Jesus was dying on the cross ,He quoted Psalm 22 which is basically ,the crucifixtion through Jesus' eyes written 1000 years before it happened.
Nobody is killing Gays(except the Muslims) but with out repentance ,there will be a price.
Some gays are saved but they will lose much reward at the end of the trail.
I welcome ALL gays ,if they are respectful to come and hear the Gospel. You know what I mean by respectful when people like G.L.A.D. get involved.I'm talking about just regular people.

Jesus is all-loving. He gave His life so that everyone (including homosexuals) can escape an eternity in hell. All anyone needs to do is agree that Jesu is the only way to heaven, then repent of their sinful ways.
Homosexuality is beyond mere sin. It's an abomination, a slap in the face of the God who created man and woman. In Old Testament days it looks like homosexuals were put to death at the hand of man. Today they're put to death buy the hand of AIDS.

I've heard this question many times before. I have concluded
that the majority of Christians who uphold that with such obvious arrogance are those middle aged and older. People naturally fear that which they do not understand and, many times, tend to be apprehensive toward any thoughts that offend them or threaten their personal views and preferences, often refusing to understand their differences or to cope peacefully with those they find different.
No one is perfect, and the same goes for Christians (even though they more than often consider themselves to be more right and more privileged than others). Hopefully, as future Christians struggle to cope with an ever changing society, they will turn to actually reading the Bible instead of relying on a select handful of quotes taken from here and there.
You might find it interesting the know that there is a line about gays in the New Testament as well, Romans 1:27 (I will not quote it here, it's meaning will be lost in translation). However, if you read the text around that verse, it says many things and the statement about gays is merely part of a much more complex tone dealing with the lust for carnal pleasures.
A mere 18 verses later, Romans 2:13 says "for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified." this meaning that what you say or hold against another is meaningless (in Gods eyes) and is pure hypocrisy if you, yourself do not refrain from your own guilty pleasures (which includes hating a person for their sins, for Jesus Himself said, Love thy neighbor as thyself. He also said. Love thine enemy. Christians must also remember that condemning someone, for any reason, is attempting to place themselves on the same level as God, who reserves the title of Judge of all humankind. Judge not, etc.)
It is obvious then, from this, that singling out gays is just a prejudice against what they see to be different and difficult to understand, which is a sin in direct conflict with the teachings of Christ, no matter what excuses people may make for their actions.

Love also means discipline, obeying G-D's laws, just like you discipline your children so dose G-D. It is sin to him and he cannot tolerate sin, and the wages of sin is death. Jesus is not in the old testament. You need to read the new testament and what is says about homosexuality it is still an abomination in the new testament.

Good old Leviticus. You know, I actually feel sorry for the guy. He tried so hard to talk about God in the context of his own culture. Look at the thanks he gets! Trotted out by verse-hunters, who look into their thimbles at their own knowledge of the Christian Bible. They pull out a verse, like the nursery rhyme kid who reached with his thumb and pulled out a plum. Then they crow triumphantly, "Aha!!! Your own Bible says that you are a bunch of evil, murdering hyprocrites!"
Man, your trotting out Leviticus is so lame. I don't even want to answer your question--I don't want to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person--but I will.
People died young in those days. Babies were stillborn, or mothers died in childbirth. Women might have twenty pregancies in their lifetimes, give birth to maybe six children, of whom two might reach adulthood.
Species are hard-wired to ensure their own survival. That is why rabbits and mice, prey for so many other species, have so many offspring.
Same-sex relationships were a diversion from the breeding, so necessary in Leviticus' time for the survival of the tribe.
Leviticus also gave clear instructions for the proper treatment of slaves, but there is not a Christian alive today who would say that slavery is OK because Leviticus said so. We have grown and matured, and moved with the times, on the slavery issue as mentioned in Leviticus.
Most--almost all of us--have moved beyond gay-bashing too. Only the pathetic few remain--and they will answer to God one day for their evil.

That is correct, Abomination = hated by God. So God hates the sin of homosexuality so much that he pronounced the death penalty for those of his chosen people who comitted such perversion. Notice in Leviticus 18 homosexuality, beatiality, child sacrifice, rape, and incest are all called abominations. God commanded Israel to utterly destroy the Canaanites, men women and children because they did these abominations. What makes anyone think it is OK to do these same abominations today? Dont fool yourself , homosexualality is a big sin and God will not tolerate anyone to continue in this sin and still enter in to the kingdom of heaven. If you are a homosexual, repent, stop your sin and God will forgive you just like he did me for my adultery, fornication, theft, lies, drunkeness and etc.

The beginning of Leviticus 20:1 (King James version) states - AND the Lord spake unto Moses, saying. The Lord said these words that are above in Leviticus 20:13. It is pretty clear. It does strongly imply what folk and situations don't "get to be together" OR they will be destroyed. Thus, I concur with the last verse that "implies" some "truth" to God's direction. Peace, Love and God Bless.

In this verse of scripture, first of all, there is nothing to do with Jesus. Second, by death he is speaking of spiritual death. Not killing someone. It means that one who commits this abomination will be spiritually dead, meaning eternity in hell.

Jesus and God are different people.
Gays are an abomination to believers. If God wanted gays he would of made two men to repopulate the earth instead of man and women.
Gays are why we have so many S.T.D's!!!!
