Yes, it pulls at my heartstrings(as meant to do)_but why don"t they go after celebs? I do what I can (for food banks-pets-ect)I am trying to keep a roof over me!

Charitable organizations use late night ad time because it is less expensive. They don't have the monies for prime time and want their money to go where it should...to the needy. It is geared to all, rich included, whoever sees it and wants or can contribute. You have the choice. No ads are demands for those who can't afford to contribute. It's a blanket request. If you can, sponsor. If you can't, appreciate that they are trying to get their message out to everyone they can. It just might not be the right contribution for you.

I too help as much as I can. I would rather take care of the children here rather than the children in other countries. I know that it may sound mean but we need to take care of each other. If someone has more money then they can go help overseas.
