theyre not trashy, but you have to be 18 to get a tattoo. The only places who will tattoo you at 16, arent places you want to be tattooed at. And dont listen to the ignorant jerks who say that they're all trashy and ugly. They dont like tattoos, and thats fine, but they dont need to shove their opinions down the throats of us who do like them.

I'm a tattoo artist. I'm covered in em. They are a huge commitment. You're 16. The only thing you should be worried about is school, girls, and what you're doin this weekend. Tattoos are something that people seem to look at like a fad. Whether or not thats true, doesnt really matter. Because they dont go away. I have a couple tattoos that comemorate people. I hold them very dear. And you should definately not hesitate in getting it, but definately wait. What exactly were you thinking of getting? (thats a huge deciding factor)

You have a good reason to get the tattoo, but I still think you should wait until you are 18. I don't really have a reason, I just think that if you are going to have it for life, what difference will 2 years make? With all 3 of my tattoos I waited at least a year to actually get it after I came up with the idea of what I wanted.

First and foremost remember that whatever you get for a tattoo is FOREVER. But the whole tribute thing is very sweet and cool. A lot of people get tattoos to make a tribute to something. As long as your aunt and uncle are cool with it and sign the paperwork to ok it then go for it. Just remember it's FOREVER so make sure it's what you really want. Good Luck!! : )

You shouldn't be concerned about what everyone else thinks when you put permanent ink on your body. If it's important enough to you and your legal guardians are allowing it, that's what should matter. I would think very long about where you put the tattoo, how big it is etc. Unfortunately there are a lot of people in the world that are quick to judge us by our tattoos. And there are also a lot of places that won't hire people for specific positions because of the location of tattoos.
Whatever the case you'll have it forever so make sure you love it. I love mine, and got it for me and me alone.

Go for it!
I got my tatoo for my birthday and i dont regret it
But make sure its something you like, and can live with for the rest of your life.
I dont think it's trashy at all though, If you would want to hide it in the future get it somewhere where you can easily cover up.

Yes just do not get something else generic like the barbed wire around the bicep or the tramp-stamp or anything like that.
You idea sounds good but make sure it is small and nothing that can be misinterpreted.
