I have that same things on my knuckles ...though as far as I know I do not have Eczema. Having too much going on in my life (not necessarily bad stuff just very busy) seems to make it flare up for me.. I think I remember hearing when I was little that I was lacking some vitamin so I came online to look it up, but no success as of yet

I saw an ad in my husband's handyman magazine that claimed to repair splits in hands - it's called O'Keefe's Working Hnads and I bought it.. it worked real well on my husband's splits from working with his hands as the product promises, they are not so rough and they seem to help with my knuckles. They SEEM to help with the knuckle splits, only been using it for 3 weeks. It helped heal an old one on my third finger and watching to see how fast it helps the new one on my thumb.

Also - I put a bandaid on them when they're bleeding, esp at night, that seems to help protect it from getting knocked.

Hope you get some relief.

Cracking your knuckles is a good way to guarantee you a lot of pain in your hands in a few years. You will end up with dry joints, possibly rheumatoid arthritis, and that is no fun. It would be to your own advantage, to stop doing it now, so that you don't end up with very, very sore hands..... Stop doing it for your own sake.... an aspirin may help

get some latex gloves. Put vaseline on your hands, and a latex glove over it, and sleep with it like that for a night.

i'm serious.

Strong soap and hot water make it worse. Use cooler water and soap with cream or lotion in it. Apply lotion liberally. If your work brings you in constant contact with irritating substances (even paper), consider using latex or plastic gloves.
