No. Most dogs who have seizures epilepsy, but sometimes seizures are caused by dogs having low blood sugar. Also, some breeds are more prone to get seizures than others.

No, more the breed than anything, unless they have epilepsy. Some breeds are just prone to seizures. If they occur frequently, call the vet and medication can be prescribed. In the meantime, if you see a seizure, write down the length and recovery time. Some vets may want to know more information, so call you vet and ask. They may also want you to call them so they can document any seizures in the dogs chart.

Depends on the reason for the hyperactivity. If it is from a poor diet full of beet pulp then yes. Beet pulp in any form is sugar even if it says sugar removed. can you get all the sugar out of a sugar cane? the answer is no. Feeding dogs a diet high in sugar will cause the same problems as humans fed diets high in sugar, diabetes, hypoglycemia, seizures, coma and even death.

I don't think so. I think the tendency is a genetic thing that results from breeding. I knew a mother dog and her two puppies who all had seizures all their lives. They were on medication for it but still occasionally had one. The mother just wanted to lay on your lap, one puppy was about average activity level, and the other was hyperactive. Their temperment had nothing to do with it.
