why do dogs bark in peoples faces

Maybe they have done this to you and you give them attention? Dogs will continue a behavior (both positive and negative behavior) if they get attention... even negative attention. Your best bet is to ignore the behavior and to reward them for NOT barking.

Does your dog do that to you?
Well it might be because it doesn't know you that well.
Or it might be to other people then it is because the dog doesn't want them to go near you?
I have a dog of my own and when someone walks past she starts to bark at them!

If it is your dog, don't allow that kind of behavior. Stop it before it gets started. When you see it getting ready to do that give it a correction.

I've never had a dog do that, but if they do...perhaps it's a greeting.
