Anyone that owns a dog that attacks or bites another animal or human....the owner should be legally responsible. There could be criminal and civil charges against them.

You want to hear my opinion?
They should be criminals if they do bad to those dogs and train them to fight!! No dog should be trained to fight! A dog is a loving creature that deserves to be in a home with loving people!! Pitt Bulls and Rottweilers are NOT violent dogs. Sure they CAN be but who said all of them ARE!

QUOTE: do you think people should be criminals if they have a violent dogs like pitt bulls and rottweilers?

Using this logic means that people who own guns are criminals. The use of guns can potentially kill. Therefore, if a person owns a gun they are criminals, based on this particular logic.

However, I do not agree with this logic.

I think it's the owner's fault. No dogs are born violent. It's the dog owner's decision to raise or train the dog to be violent or aggressive. I also think the law is not severe enough to penalize those bad dog owners.

I think the owner is responsible for anything the dog does because if you treat a dog bad then their going to act really mean, so in the end the owners should be responsible for what his/her dog does.

The owner of violent dogs should be responsible. It's the dogs fault too but what kind of dog knows that it is illegal to bite humans. The owner should be responsible in tying up the dog so they won't get loose.
