Honestly, probably nothing. Different guys develop differently. I am 22, and my hair deverlopment seems to have just really kicked into gear. Humorously it seems to go in a cycle, some times it isn't very much, other times I grow a forest.
If you are really worried, you can get some tests done to see if you have to little testosterone.

Well, your Avatar certainly looks as though you shouldn't have any facial hair but if you say you're a guy, let's go along with that and not worry about why you chose that Avatar.
Next question - what's your racial origin? If you are oriental, you may never have significant amounts of facial hair.
If you are Caucasian, it may simply be you have not yet developed to that stage.
If it's none of the above, I haven't a clue......

I grew up with a young man who didn't have any eyebrows and he told my cousin that he didn't have ANY body hair at all accept for what was on his head. No eye lashes, no pit hair, no arm or leg hair. Nothing. He had a genetic disorder. However, my husband has a friend who is about 38 years old, and I have yet to see him with any facial hair as in beard and mustache. You could just have a baby face or be a late bloomer. Don't worry yourself though, just keep letting your friends think that you just buy some damn good expensive razors.

There's nothing wrong with you, it's totally normal to have very little facial hair. I have just enough to have to shave it every day, but not nearly enough to grow it out. It's really annoying. A guy I know had his facial hair removed by laser surgery. He doesn't need to shave ever again.

Nothing. People change at different times. Why do you think girls are sometimes taller than guys in junior high, and then in high school it switches. Don't worry about it right now. Wait until you're 25. If you're still hairless then, I would go talk to a doctor. But i'd say for right now, wait it out.

I didn't either when I was your age. In fact, I am nearly 29 now and can't even grow a full beard. I can grow a patchy thing that looks rather pathetic. I think some guys are just different than others.

This is not a big deal! you are really blessded it could be so thick that you can't even get a smooth shave. My husband is 28 and he is just in the past year starting to get a 5o'clock shadow, and he has been shaving for years. It will come and when it does you will wish for these smooth days back

I'm 29, and my sideburns don't connect completely to my regular hair... It's all genetics... I couldn't even grow a beard until I was 23, and a mustache was impossible.
...It takes me 6 weeks for my beard to begin to get full, and by that time, I'm tired of it.
