Lately I have been drinking pure black cherry juice concentrate mixed with water. Is this a good alternative to soft drinks? Still too much sugar?

I can not have cafinated drinks, plain water is too boring and I refuse to drink all of the chemicals in diet drinks. Have I chosen a good alternative?

I'd recommend looking at the nutritional label to see how much sugar you're ingesting... sugar is sugar no matter what form.

Some drink manufacturers kind of cheat when they claim their drinks are 100% fruit juice. They use concentrated juices, but don't add 100% of the water back into the concentrate so you end up with a sweeter juice without having to add fructose corn syrup or sucrose (table sugar).

If you enjoy it and it's offering some nutritional benefit (vitamins) over soft drinks, then just enjoy and don't sweat it.

It is ok. You are getting nutrition in the juice. You could drink other juices as well. You may want to try herbal teas if you are concerned with the sugar content in juice. There are many herbal teas that are flavored with friut, and you could add just a touch of honey if you like.
