Some have 336 and some have over 1000. It all depends on what you want the ball to do.

Some have more than others. For instance, a few years ago when Titleist came out with the Pro V1, it had 392 stamped on the side of it, which indicated that it has 392 dimples.

Most golf balls have 336 dimples, but the number can vary depending on the size of the dimples.

I know its around 300 but it varies on the manufacturer. I do know that all balls have an even amount of dimples execpt for the srizon ad333 which has, beleive it or not, 333 dimples.

Different brands create balls with different number of dimples. Most of them are ranged between 350 to 450 dimples per ball.
Titleist's NXT has 392 dimples.
