Flirting, cheating?! No. It is not cheating. Only if you carry it further with what you know is cheating.

Everyone has a different definition of flirting, and also different definitions of cheating...So I guess that would depend on what you or your partner consider flirting, or cheating. It could be hugging, snuggling, blowing kisses, brushing up against someone, exchanging phone numbers...and the list goes on...If you and your partner are comfortable with how things are going, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Flirting would only be cheating if you were dishonest about it. For example, I have a crush on at least one guy almost all the time - I know it'll never lead anywhere, and I don't *really* want it to - but it's still sorta fun. However, my boyfriend always knows, and he's really cool about it. Trust is a big issue in a relationship and if either of you can't trust the other, then you don't have much of a relationship.

What is the committment level you have for your partner? Some people say it is and some say it isn't. IF, you are flirting with a good friend or classmate with NO intentions of having feelings or attachment for them, then I think it's ok. I see this as harmless fun and not crossing the line. However, if this bothers your boyfriend, I would hold back and keep the habit under wraps. Place yourself in there position. If you found out your boyfriend was flirtatous, wouldn't you feel a little jealous and hurt? Keep in mind also, if his a great guy and you love him and see your relationship going long term, I would appreciate that and not hit on anyone (harmless or not) unless you are single. If you care about him deeply, don't let something minor like this play any bad influence on what you have. Your attention should be on him and vice versa.
Good Luck.

Flirting may not be cheating but is really a roundabout way of letting someone know that you are interested in them. It's really not a long step from flirtation to insinuation to a peck on the cheek and then to a step from which there is no return. Are you being fair in giving false body-language signals to those with whom you are flirting? Or are you giving them real signals and lying to yourself that it is only harmless flirting? Go look in a mirror and see who looks back at you - you'll know how innocent things are and if you've harbored deep thoughts about cheating. Good luck and remember that she who looks into the abyss - the abyss looks back.

Yes, it is cheating. Whether you are not kissing nor touching but just flirting, seems redicuclous. How would your other half feel, if he/she found out?It would be a trust breaker in any relationship. My advice refrain from it!

The word "flirting" covers a LOT of ground. I "flirt" with babies, so if the intent is innocent then it's just being a loving person. It really depends on the intent, and on whether or not you would do the same behavior in front of your partner. If you would do it in front of your significant other, and they would be fine with the behavior, it's fine. If it's behavior you would hide from your partner, then your intent is questionable, and while not technically cheating, it's not healthy for the relationship.
