No, they are not born with fleas. They get them from their mother. Puppies have very thin, tender skin and fleas love it, so when they're born, they flock to this new, tender young meal.

No, they're not born with fleas - fleas can't be on them when they're in the uterus, they're external parasites!
If the mother has fleas, the puppies will pick them up very quickly. Newborn puppies can die quite quickly from a severe flea infestation because obviously being small, they don't have much blood for the fleas to suck!
If this situation is relevant to you, you need Frontline Spray from a vets because it can be used on puppies from 2 days of age.

No, puppies are absolutely not born with fleas. The way they get so many fleas is because they are around their mother so much, who most likely has fleas also. Puppies immune system and defense system is very weak causing many fleas to go right for them like an easy target. I would recommend getting a lice comb and a bowl of soapy water and just comb the puppy, and after each time you comb clean off the lice comb in the soapy water which instantly kills the fleas.

No animal is born with fleas unless their mother already has them. Talk to your vet about ways to rid the puppies of their fleas...most treaments, like Advantage, can't be used until the puppies are at least 8 weeks old.

No, Puppies are not born with fleas. They get them from their mother. They can be born with worms though. If the puppies have fleas then you need to bath the mother and the puppies, but you can't use shampoo on the puppies unless they are about 5 weeks. Most shampoos will get the fleas off, you could try baby shampoo.

No, puppies can not be born with fleas. If puppies have fleas then it is more than likely because the mother has fleas.

They are not born with fleas. They can get fleas if there are already fleas in the house when they are born though and fleas can kill young animals.

No they are not borm with fleas - fleas are an external parasite which don't LIVE on pets (or people), they only FEED on them.
Most pups are born with roundworm though, which is why mum and pups shouls e wormed every two weeks with a suitable de wormer.
