If he likes the Three Stooges, why not a DVD of their old shows? Or even a picture book of TV shows back then. Plus a lunch together. It can be cheap, but the time together would be very thoughtful and appreciated. Make it a picnic if that's more affordable.

If he likes to walk in the woods,
then get him a book from the Audobon Society
about birds, or rocks, or trees.

Hi..
Does your dad enjoy watching any type of sports..If so get him two tickets to the next game..
One ticket for him, and one for whoever he would like to bring with him!( it would be nice if you spent the day with him) Just a thought!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!...... To your dad~

The best gift that I ever got from my daughter was a homemade card that said she loved me. I still have it to this day.

Take him out to dinner.. it shouldn't cost more than $20.00 bucks for dinner out. Guys aren't much for cards and at his age he probably has everything anyways.

Time with him. Take him to lunch/dinner, spend the day with him.
Time is more precious than any trinket you could buy.
