I put more faith in preparation and a clear mind. Luck is for those who are unprepared.

I am afraid that I have to disagree with you. While you can not rule out luck, good or bad, if you have to rely on it then you are probably not as good as you could be at fighting.
Most good fighters create their own luck so to speak through their experience and training so that they literally manipulate the situation and control the fight. That's why they spend years developing their skills, increasing their knowledge and experience, and perfecting their technique. If you have to rely on the "get lucky approach" then you will more often than not, come up on the short end of the stick against a more skilled and experienced opponent.

I don't think it's a good idea to buy anything for the baby until the 12th week of pregnancy - or announce the pregnancy for that matter. First trimester miscarriages are quite common and while I don't think it's bad luck to tell people or announce things earlier, it makes it much harder in the event of a pregnancy loss to face those items or people.

My personal belief is that luck can sometimes be a factor. But. like someone here said previously, more often than not it is not luck that decides the outcome of the fight, but the skills of the fighters. But dont get me wrong, sometimes you have to be lucky too.... there is always that puncher's chance!!

Yes, depending on the skill of your opponent, luck plays a big role. What if you're feeling under the weather, or you strain a muscle, or he gets in a lucky shot, or any number of chaotic possibilities.

Even though luck has some part in winning and loosing a fight, it's mostly skill that determines the outcome.
It's just like any other sport.

you can rule out LUCK!!! it is all about capitalizing on a situation. even if you are throwing wild punches that you are not even aim, if you connect there was an opputunity that you captured. so no such thing as good or bad luck

Martial Arts is a form of art,I don't believe that there is good and bad luck, maybe a higher power. Martial Arts is about skill and confidence and practice. The more you do something the better you get at it.

Everything is a factor in a fight. Including luck, you never know when the guy swings he might throw his arm out or something.
