Diane, come to my Church. We will move down and make room for you. We will sing "All are Welcome in this Place." And, we will ask you to stand and be recognized as a visitor.

not much of a question...
but to reply...
1. what about the men and chivalry?
I heard a story of a poorly dressed teenager who refused to sit with the well dressed in the church, so he sat in the back of the floor. People were complaining of where he sat, murmuring and making the teenager feel awkward.
Then an 80 yr old elder, with an expensive suit walked back to him, and proceeded to sit right next to him. The hush in the church was impeccable. The church was humbled by the act of one man.
Sorry to say, some people can't see the plank in their eye. As a man, I would've gladly gave up my place for another.
I would rather think highly of others over my needs.

There is always a big deal over who sits by the end huh? It's like when you were a kid trying to get the window seat. I always get up and move out and let them get in then take my seat again if I don't want to sit down but then again Father K is right, if seating is a problem come earlier.

So are you say all churches are evil because you could not find a convenient seat? Did you ask someone to let you sit down.
I thought since you did not ask a question, I should for the site. You only ranted.

I am not being mean when i say this so please don't think this is wrote in nsaty tone becasu eit is not, but, try getting there about 15 minutes earlier so you can get a better seat.
We leave about 20 minutes before to get our girls in sunday school then we head the hall, we sit at the back anyway but it ensures the right spot.
I hope this doesn't happen to you again.

That stinks, I'm sorry. This is why theatre style seating works best for big churches

Why not try getting to church early and saying your prayers and preparing your heart for worship instead of coming in late and worrying about where you might sit??
